The Location Ocean View and the great front desk service. They went out of their way to make our vacation a wonderful experience.
That every single like ice was charged and had to have words, with some of the bar staff that this is one amenity that is usually provided by most hotels as a courtesy.

The hotel itself is quite historic, 70's space age cool. The breakfast buffet was great as were the pool and spa facilities. However, the most outstanding part of the entire experience was the staff. From the bell captain and desk clerk at check in, to Caio the concierge helping us with tickets to Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer, they were all of kind and helpful. One of us had health issues and Ryan at reception helped us get a doctor to the room who helped resolve the issues. Ryan kept checking in on us through the experience to make sure we were doing okay. Even David at the bar made sure we had coconut water for hydration. A facility is only as good as its staff and they made they stay for us! The rooms were large and comfortable and the view from our window was priceless!

The hotel is in a great location with wonderful views and access to a great beach with chairs and umbrellas. The staff were very friendly and the food in the hotel buffet was very good. An excellent hotel!

The facility’s nice decor and the bed was very comfortable.
There was a foul plumbing smell coming from the toilets and shower. Even when you didn’t use it.

Breakfast was a madhouse. Long lines, crowded, difficult to find a table to sit, long lines at omelet station. Poor food quality especially bread and rolls were tasteless. Easy contamination by people touching food.
Bellman were excellent.
Suggest: Better rolls and additional omelet station. Front desk would not change money into smaller denominations..
