Great host, you come as a stranger and go as a friend , great location bit outside Rio but save 10 minutes to the beach ( better and cleaner then the beach in the city) and a Uber charge 35 real to downtown Rio.

Wonderful
Eclectic property with a wide variety of rooms and a nice small pool scattered on the hillside above Barra de Tijuca. You can walk to Joatinga beach in about 15 minutes. A few restaurants and a grocery are also about 15 minutes walk. Fritz is very affable.
