I loved my stay in a private room at El Misti Hostel. Utmost special recognition to Jojo who was so friendly, kind and helpful to accommodate my room needs. I might have had to change rooms on my last night’s stay but she worked it out so I could stay in the same room. I very much appreciated her thoughtfulness and willingness to provide excellent customer service.
Special recognition to Eric. He was the guide to the Flamengo - Red Bull futbol game. It was no easy feat to ensure the group stayed together as we took the subway there and back. I appreciated his concern for everyone’s safety throughout to ensure everyone’s enjoyment of this fantastic experience.
Also recognition to Gioele for his helpfulness and for kindly moving my luggage down 3 floors when I checked out.

2 mins walking distance from Ipanema beach... what more can you ask for! Staff were super accomadating! Shotout Rodrigo, Effy and all the Staff at El Misti for their hospitality and for taking care of me lol, defo will visit again when im in Rio!

Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. The location is unbeatable. They have arranged free chair and umbrella with a stand at Ipanema beach, very convenient. Staff is great! Many activities are planned, great place to socialize, specially if you're solo traveling.
No elevator, for some that could be an issue. Shower's great, I'd suggest going up a few seconds/minute on the timer.

Everything. Location, staff, facilities and so forth. The best hostel in Rio. Regarding reception staff Cristal was the best. She helped me with everything I needed in the hostel.
Rooms might be small, but that’s not an important issue.

All the staff is so kind and welcoming Rodrigo, Jordana and all the volunteers made my stay here unforgettable. The location of the hostel is perfect and it’s super social with lots and lots of activities everyday. I would definitely recommend
