Very nice hotel at walking distance from Rio Olympic Villa. The rooms were spacious, clean, cozy and well equipped. Very comfortable beds! The buffet was great and with lots of diverse food. The hotel staff was caring and extremely helpful. We had a great stay!

Great stay, beautiful hotel! We did not take included breakfast because we wanted to go out and eat however we did it try it on one of our mornings and it was delicious with lots of selection for anyone.
There were lots of kids running around in the hallways and screaming (soccer tournaments seemed to be going on) and it was quite disruptive as you could hear them very loudly in our room. Parents of those kids seem to be too permissive but staff should be patrolling a bit more to monitor noise levels when they know there are tournaments going on with lots of children staying at the hotels or put them on lower floors and have childless guests stay on upper floors.
Pool is so beautiful out on the roof but the hotel should invest in water heating system for those colder months. The water was way too cold to enjoy the pool so they are paying for maintaining the pool clean but nobody uses it at any time of the day. I had not thought to look for heated pool when booking but multiple hotels we stayed at which had pools don't have them heated so if anyone is booking with intentions of using the pool, keep an eye out for this point.

The staff were awesome, nice, attentive to one’s needs and during breakfast was my favorite time at the hotel. Wonderful kitchen staff - 10 stars ✨
The location was far from everything else. It is best for those who have their personal car or are ready to make extra travel cost on Uber. As a tourist who is visiting to have fun, it is more or less not worth the location.

About the property? Absolutely nothing. I liked Mr Rui from breakfast - the only person who smiled, greeted, helped.
1. Bedrooms are poorly built and I spent my first night awake due to snoring from the room next door, second night listening to a girl fighting with someone on the other side’s room
2. My safe was opened by someone (not me) and I was ROBBED at the hotel. Until today I am waiting for someone to tell me what happened. Until today I am waiting for someone to have any interest on what happened.
3. Managing team is absurd and with no professional preparation

5. Coffee machine in the second room we rented had a towel underneath as it kept dropping coffee
6. Housekeeping: first morning folded my pj, second morning hanged on the chair, third morning just my pj thrown on the bed. Procedures = zero.
Never ever had I ever experienced anything like this and Marriott should know better on how to work. This is not what I am used to with the chain.
I will know file a complaint at the police and will take further measures.

The bed was extremely comfortable, as one would expect from a Marriott chain hotel.
The location for the purposes of my trip was great: around 800 meters (10-15min walking) to the Olympic Park in a straight line without having to cross any street.
Unfortunately, this is far from a true Marriott hotel.
To start off, there was not even water in the room! (what a mediocre mindset)
The bathroom faucet wasn't working properly, which forced me to do some makeshift work to be able to have my first shower when I arrived late at night.
The following day, they fixed but then forgot to put a floor towel. I had to call three times and wait to have a proper bath.
In all meals (lunch/dinner), I was obliged to pay for it immediately after consumption, another nuisance.
The soundproofing between the rooms is poor: for the first time in my life, I had to ask them to lower the volume in the neighboring room, as I could hear all the broadcasting.
Several small issues resulting from the lack of excellence/care that, in my opinion, spoiled from the entire experience of the stay.

Good room size and view from the room on the 14th floor. Restaurant and menu very good. Breakfast very good. There was buffet dinner (this was during the carnival) and it was very good and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful, especially reception staff in giving directions and answering questions about Rio. Location close to the Olympic Park, and also close to the BRT public transport station (if you plan to use that).
No complimentary drinking water in the rooms, especially given how hot Rio is. You have to purchase all your water from the reception as there are no shops nearby. Reception could not lend me an electrical adapter for my UK plugs. They required me to buy one from them. Other hotels I had been in Brazil happily lent me one to use. Hotel location is far from Copacabana and similar areas, but Uber is readily available to help.
