It was well equipped, close to copacabana, and the owner was super kind and helpful, I can only recommend this apartment.
There were a few insects, but thats all.

The property looked even better on arrival - well presented with lots of wonderful details and art to explore. And the host Shawn was friendly, relaxed and accommodating - always on hand to make sure your stay was most comfortable. Everything you would need for a travel accommodation to make your stay comfortable and pleasant was availble - even a printer. The lounge area with a large TV was great for relaxing movie nights or listening to music, reliable Wifi connection, kitchen with washing machine, dryer, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, blender, toaster etc The list goes on...It really was home away from home. And not mention a clean and well presented entrance, concierge, safe building, close to the beach, supermarket and shops. The real asset was the host and his son who were always on hand to assist guest with great attention and giving such great value. They were happy to accommodate a later checkout where possible. Certainly gets our vote for the best host in Rio 2023.

The service by the owner was excellent the TV on the main area did not work properly he changed it on request although he first took one from the 2nd bedroom where my dad was and never connected properly another working TV
Additionally he arranged a very cheap taxi for us to go to the airport on the last day
He was very friendly, however when we mentioned the smell he said it was cedar smell, in my option it was humidity and lack of ventilation as bedrooms had no direct windows to the outside, one had a window that open to some external environment but uncertain as the smell was not that good coming in from it
Location great as it was 200m from the Copacabana beach but unfortunately very noisy this is part being in Copacabana centre
Very dirty and smelly, on leaving we have the habit to tidy up things, clean up and remove all the sheets from the bed, on our bed in the largest room we found blood and other significant stains on the mattress if we would have known this we would have not stayed

Very Good
The location is great, very close to the beach, there's lots of nearby restaurants, stores, pharmacies, super market, etc. It's close to the subway station as well. The apartment is very roomy, it has pretty much everything you need.
The wifi was a little unstable and could be faster. Couldn't watch Netflix on any of the the TVs.

Exceptional
We loved the location. Few steps away and you are at the exciting vibe of the Copacobana beach. My friends loved the place which mattered to me since this was our first time to travel together.
