The service was exceptional and they even helped us with local recommendations on where to go! Anderson and Daniel were very helpful. The hotel is very private, has a very good overlooking view plus a rooftop for the sunrise. It's also walking distance to a good shops and restos in Santa Teresa.
It may be a bit far if you want to keep going back and forth to the beach, so plan ahead. But other than that, we were really impressed and cannot wait to come back!

Our stay at Chez Georges started with a wonderful welcome from Daniel, who quickly felt more like a friend than a host. He was incredibly helpful, offering us great recommendations and always going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Together with the lovely Sara and Frida, he made us feel completely at home. The atmosphere was so special and inviting that we ended up extending our stay from 2 nights to 5. I can warmly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and heartfelt experience.

Disappointing
I went into Chez Georges expecting the best, the price of the room was about 3x the price of other comparable properties in the same area and I wanted to really enjoy my stay. Sadly what wasn’t disclosed was the fact that there would be 14 hour construction literally NEXT DOOR to my room, and so disruptive that I couldn’t even enjoy the pool which was the main feature of the hotel. The fact that they not only didn’t give warning or give discounted rate for that was astounding to me, and no there were no other rooms available as I had to wait an extra hour to check into my room because it was that busy.

The house is amazing, and so is the interior decoration. The view over the bay and sugarloaf mountain are great.
The staff is super friendly and very helpful with recommendations in the area.
In that price segment I would expect a higher quality and more varied breakfast. While I understand that this is a laid back house rather than a luxury hotel, some little services like help with luggage etc would be appreciated.

This property is in a terrible location. Not only is it unsafe, or unfit for guests to stay here, but it is completely unmentioned anywhere. It’s located adjacent to a favela (which is where many of the gangs and thieves reside). Aside from that, upon arrival, there’s only one staff member doing everything. While the staff was very nice, and she took the time to show us around, there is NO ONE on the property late at night. No security, nothing. To add to that, the price for this property is exorbitant for the service received. You only receive a very small simple breakfast, and there are 0 options for dinner. If you’d like to get anything else, you’d have to leave the property and be exposed to the potential risks of the area in Santa Theresa. There was no soap, or shampoo in our room, and when asked for more towels, they said they didn’t have anymore as they were in the wash? An absolute joke. For $500 a night you’d think they could spare some towels.
In short, management is poor, and if you’re looking to explore this property do not stay here for more than one night, and do not go out at night, it’s not worth it.

Chez George failed to provide accommodations and services equal to the egregiously expensive rate charged. The hotel neglected to inform us of the risks in the surrounding area, failed to offer necessary safety guidelines, and provided substandard security and food services. After being robbed nearby, the staff were unhelpful, and we feel the hotel and surrounding areas poses significant hazards to guests. We did not stay for the full duration of our booking.

Wonderful
The place is really remote from the busy city center, which we appreciated ! A quiet place in a busy city. At the same time the villa is very close to nice coffee shops, food stores, and restaurants of Santa Theresa.
The place is wonderful and very comfortable.
The team was really helpful in booking taxis, sharing recommendations about places to visit or what to do.
We stayed there for 5 nights as we were looking for a restful place: we really enjoyed it !!
We would have appreciated if there were more offers for lunch or dining at the villa.
Even if the place looks like a cute Eden garden, the surroundings can be pretty noisy, and people need to be aware that even if the area is cute, it is still dangerous.
Two groups of guests have seen their phone stolen while being around the villa during our stay.

Very beautiful area, great view and very well decorated. Breakfast was very good too
The air conditioner was noisy and there’s no one at the property after 22:00 that I could report to. The street is kind of desert at night and it’s hard to get Ubers there. I wouldn’t feel safe to stay there by myself. One thing that bothered me is the gunshot noises that come from a police training center nearby.

Wonderful
Such an amazing place, the decor, the staff, the breakfast are just the best. Once you arrive the place it is just unbelievable, the view is stunning and if you are an architecture lover this is the place to be. Plus the super nice staff, a very great welcome and one of my favorite breakfast, sitting outside in front of the view and the pool, just like a dream!
The location is just a little off the main road so better to reach with Uber.

Absolutely stunning interior. Air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was lovely. Santa Teresa was a lovely little town a nice break from the beach area.
The bathroom , particularly the shower needed to be fixed. It leaked onto the floor.
Waited almost 40 minutes to check in.
