Property is on an island in a lake only accessible by boat and this is not clear is listing The pool is not really usable- to small and shallow to swim in and dirty and clearly not maintained Breakfast selection very basic

Very poor breakfast. Not even any Juice. Very unorganised and messy around the pool. Paper thin walls when your neighbour opens their door it feels like they are actually inside your room.

Well positioned
Quite far from picture, under a lot of maintenance and disorder. A/C super noisy and hard to set, rooms are noisy (could hear a drum until 2pm). Nothing to help prevent mosquitos

The view and the hotel cat
Our bedding was dirty on arrival. We also had bugs in the bed. the room is dirty and needs alot of tlc. the "swimming pool" (if you can call it that) is filthy with a scum over the surface , so it is unusable. we have asked since our arrival about watersport activities but they won't provide us with details to book.. one of the reasons why we booked this hotel. The breakfast is put out from the day before and this morning it was covered in flies. You can't call it a breakfast either being just cheese bread and cake. Even under the fly nets, it was crawling. We have also a huge ant problem in our room as the doors are not sealed. We have been bitten all over our feet from where they are all over the floor. not impressed and glad to be leaving. Also nowhere on the booking did it say we had to pay for a boat to get here. this is a nuisance and a cost if you leave the island multiple times daily.

Wonderful
The location is awesome! You can directly go there by boat from the entrance, which is super handy with the luggage. The breakfast is great and the staff is always super helpful!
The pool could have been a bit clearer/cleaner, it was not so much inviting for a swim. The deck looks super nice, but a few options to lay down would be great. There are only benches and chairs. Be aware, the residence is in a lagoon, so there are mosquitoes!

Wonderful
Very nice property, great location, super friendly owner. Very clean and spacious room. Close to metro so it is easy to get to Ipanema, Copacabana etc.
We had Roma room which was close to several external air-con units and you can hear it during the night. So if noise bother you - choose another room.

The property was beautiful and the rooms were well set up. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. We felt the price was good value for money. The island had a great vibe and we would like to return in future.
We were not aware that we needed to take a boat to get to the property. The staff were helpful in giving us instructions but these should have been shared with us prior to our travel. We could also find no indication on the property’s information page that we would need to park a distance away, walk, and then take a boat to the property. Had we known this in advance we would have packed differently and been better prepared for our stay.

The service staff were very attentive and were always taking care of us very well.
I was disappointed I booked a presidential room considered to be the best of them and it turned out to be a total disappointment cold water when showering mosquitoes and ants uncomfortable room was very frustrating for my stay and my family in this hotel.

Location and helpful staff. Enjoyed the exotic experience and relaxed atmosphere.
Not as clean as expected, noisy with builders right next door. Room was only cleaned on request. Balcony door was broken, but I insited on my privacy . Breakfast was oky. A selection of breads. I enjoyed my stay but wanted it better to justify the cost.

Beautiful location with super friendly staff. The owner was always happy to help us despite the language barrier. The room was big and comfortable. There was a lovely outside area where you can have breakfast with a view of the lake.
