Beautiful view from one beautiful room.
Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating.
We really enjoyed the breakfast on the balcony of our room. Paid for the couples massage in our room as well.
Nothing to do here. It wasn't worth the price ($550/night) for us to stay if we have to leave the property for drinks, meals, beach or anything. Service charges were added for everything (we had also tipped the masseuses & chef Andre)

Very beautiful Property, overlooking Joatinga! Marcello, the host was probably the best host I’ve ever had in my life. He and his staff were really accommodating, dropped us off and picked us up from the beach, organized dinners, organized an amazing boat tour. Give us a historic tour of his property… Really amazing time.

I booked a massage but they do not have a masseuse on the property and the one they have booked did not turn up and I had to wait 90 minutes. Took a long time for a drink to be ordered. However staff were very friendly.

Incredible experience! Marcello, Thiago & Chef Andre all treated us like family - the views were breathtaking and the presidential suite was stunning. The worst part of this stay was having to leave.

The bathroom smelled bad” lots of mosquitoes in the room and a bad smell. How is it possible that there is no job that helps you carry your suitcases?! What kind of hotel is this?! Everything is very bad

The property is so so beautiful and overlooks the coast. The staff go way above and beyond to be helpful, and they do a very customizable breakfast spread with such a nice view. The location is also nice if you want to be outside of the hustle and bustle in central Rio but still want to easily Uber in. Also a great spot for people who are driving down the coast to Paraty or other coastal locations.
In the photos it looked like there was a pool but it seems to have been converted into a koi pond which is still super pretty, but we were a little disappointed not to have the pool we thought would be there given the fantastic weather. I'd also recommend getting a room that's not the most basic one. It was the last one available so we didn't have a choice, but we could hear people moving around above us in the early morning and it was difficult for my partner who is a light sleeper. I don't think the other rooms have this issue.

A wonderful facility that exceeds expectations. A true home away from home experience with Andre the chef and Bruno his assistant the real stars of the show. All day chef services on call. A true taste of Brazilian hospitality.
Choppers that fly overhead all day long, but quiet off in the evening.

B&B can’t help this, but the helicopters fly over all day. Good to know if you don’t like noise. The beautiful garden could only be upgraded with a parasol to create some more shade. Other than that nothing!

The property was truly unique and historical. The views were picturesque. The chef was incredible and all staff were welcoming and extremely helpful and kind.
The location was a little secluded and cars had a difficult time getting up to the property unless newer, would recommended uber black as those cars seemed to be able to make it to the property more readily.

Gerson and the team are great, always trying to make the best arranging things to make your stay better.
The view is incredible and the breakfast is unbelievable!!!
This is not a hotel, it’s a beautiful house arranged to receive visitors.
There’s no restaurant or swimming pool nor fitness center and this is not a spa.
You can ask the team to cook something and you can try to swim with the fishes. You can also ask for a massage and a professional will come.
Careful if you’re allergic to cats !

We loved our stay at Cliffside boutique hotel. Waking up to that view and wave sounds is priceless. Paulo and Gerson made us feel comfortable and were of great care. Thank you for the warm welcome and arrangement. It is definitely one of the highlights in my experience in Rio. You guys have a magic place. I would definitely recommend it and will come back. Cliffside is a one of a kind architectural and design marvel, with an unbelievable view and very attentive and kind staff. The in house chef and spa services were lovely. If you are looking to unplug someplace gorgeous hidden away from the typical tourist experience, then this is the place for you.
The property/home a bit hidden in a luxury gated community. That makes the area safe, but it also makes it a bit hard to find and get to. I had several Ubers cancel on me or tell me they wouldn’t pick me up/drop me off there.

How about a stay in an architectural icon, a place deeply steeped in local music history, an oasis of calm and impeccable service. All this you will find at Cliffside. Every single staff member was amazing, the place is super clean, has some of the best views in town, and is quiet and tranquil. The food is amazing, and you wont need to stick to a given schedule. The chefs whip up something for you any time, and it will be delicious. All in all, the perfect getaway.
