Very good hotel and very good value for money. Facilities and rooms are new and clean.
The rooftop was not accessible but they offered free taxi to a nearby hotel for free to use their rooftop. I got a room not directly on the ocean view but it was fine

The staff were all very friendly and helpful (assisted us in booking a tour and also a dinner show that was fantastic)
We booked a sea view room and were not disappointed - The room had a huge window overlooking the beach.
The rooftop terrace/cafe and pool were not available (repair work) but we could enjoy those amenities at their sister-hotel just a few blocks away (still on the beach) It was an easy 15 minute walk down the boardwalk - or, if we wanted to take a cab, the hotel paid for it. We went over several times - The view was spectacular!
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a great stay on Copacabana Beach
The water temperature in the shower wouldn't stabilize (had to consistently adjust hotter/colder etc.) But this wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great staff and restaurant
I would like to highly commend the team at the Arena hotel. The reception staff was incredibly helpful and professional, and the restaurant team did an amazing job – the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Despite the rooftop renovation, it was thanks to this wonderful and dedicated staff that our stay was very pleasant!
I would like to raise an issue regarding my recent stay at the Arena hotel. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool and the entire observation terrace were completely closed due to renovation.
It would be highly appreciated if the hotel updated its profile information to warn guests about such inconveniences in advance. This would help future guests avoid a major disappointment upon arrival. Since the terrace and pool are key features of this property, transparency regarding their availability is crucial.

On our 2 nights stay,. One night there’s was a construction/maintenance going on that’s too noisy/loud until midnight,. They should sched the maintenance only up to 9pm the most so guests can rest.

location was superb, access by road was good, breakfast was excellent, room was OK, some staff had trouble speaking English but we got ourselves made clear, Gustavo at reception was excellent and accomodated our request for early check-in and late check-out

Location, location, location. Breakfast was also very good
Room had mold in the bathroom (minimal, but for a cost of the stay is was not expected). Air conditioner was not functioning reasonably with both cold and hot episodes with no obvious reason. The room was rather humid despite the AC.

Beautiful hotel, across from a clean safe beach. The staff was helpful and kind, delicious breakfast with a little variety each day. Room was on the smaller side but still very comfortable and clean! I had a balcony which made it so beautiful. I was there the week before carnival so I think the price was higher than normal.

Hotel's location is very good, even though it is at the very extreme of the Copacabana beach. Safe neighborhood, walking distance to several pharmacies and mini-markets. Strong recommendation to book "luxury plus" rooms, because they offer a beautiful view of Copacabana, and even have a small terrace. Staff was very helpful with providing restaurant recommendations, as well as arranging tickets for a football match at Maracana (foreign credit cards unacceptable for online purchases).
We didn't even think of using the swimming pool, but were still disappointed with its size. It looks like a little over-sized bathtub. Breakfast was OKish, but not very varied and with surprisingly bad coffee. At check-in we were given a room different than the one we booked (luxury plus), which was strange because the booking was paid well in advance and we mentioned it at the reception. Luckily, after a brief conversation the issue was resolved and a formal apology was sent by email.
