It is a nice, reasonably well run hotel. The location next to Arpoar beach is great.
Tiny rooms, windows don't open much, no sea view, top terrace pool also tiny. Quite expensive for what you get.

I loved the location , friendly staff my regards to Mikael amazing service supported us and made our stay amazing, excellent and very pleasant. Thanks Mikael and great breakfast tasted like a mother’s love.
No complimentary water in the room, no hot water kettle or tea bags expected to have them in the room since it’s also a bit cold.the bathroom did not have amenities like lotion, sanitary bags, there was water shortage for flashing the toilet but the maintenance worked hard to restore the water supply and informed us.

Fantastic location, just moments from Ipanema Beach and very convenient for exploring the area. The hotel is modern, comfortable and well presented. I ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights of my stay and particularly enjoyed the excellent caipirinhas!
There were a few disappointing aspects to my stay. At check-in, I specifically explained that I was happy for the credit card held on the reservation to remain as the guarantee for the room, but asked to make the actual payment using a different multi-currency card. I was told this was no problem, but unfortunately the hotel charged the full room payment to the original credit card anyway.
I was also surprised to be charged a fairly substantial amount by local standards for the small, basic bottles of water left in the room. It wasn’t made clear that these were chargeable, either at check-in or in the room information. For a hotel of this standard, particularly in a hot climate, I had reasonably assumed that a bottle of water provided in the room would be complimentary. It is such a small detail, but the lack of clarity unfortunately left a disproportionately poor impression at the end of an otherwise enjoyable stay. When I politely questioned the charge at checkout, the receptionist was quite abrupt and told me that if I was unhappy I could comment online, which I didn’t find particularly welcoming.
A note for vegetarian travellers: the food in the restaurant was great, but there were very limited vegetarian options on the menu during my stay.

The Staff is great - from door security, front desk, cleaning through restaurant/rooftop bar attendants - everyone super nice, professional and friendly. Location is superb so close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Room is large, but there is no space to keep things in the room - just a few hungers, no shelves or drawers, and no comfortable space to keep luggage. No tee or coffee machine - so no way to get hot water.
Breakfast: Ok but not good for either UK or continental option. Service people at breakfast not nice (to say the least)
At least one of the two elevators was broken for most of our stay.

Exceptional
Excellent staff from front door to the delicious dining room, to the roof top bar by the infinity pool. Everyone provided great service and hospitality! Great location, right near Ipanema, very modern and clean rooms with all the latest amenities. Breakfast was a treat each day, and cocktails and snacks on the roof each evening after touring was wonderful. Highly recommend!
