Room was functional and clean, with a quiet AC unit. Excellent location a block from the beach, in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of food and shopping options. Rooftop bar and pool with a great sunset view. Nice breakfast. Staff very professional and friendly.

Location was fantastic. Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was good! Room was always cleaned.
Bathroom was small and a little dated. Felt a little uncomfortable at times. Toilet sanitary hose didn't work.

The breakfast room was too small, with too many people, and the breakfast was a bit poorish. For people with allergies, the ingredients of the food were not listed, which made it a bit difficult to consume.

Great location, staff and facilities. I recommend it for families. Good value for money. The breakfast is good. It is very close to Arpoador, which offers a great sunset. The rooftop swimming pool is a treat.

The Arena Ipanema Hotel truly had it all! Clean, modern rooms, a convenient location, and a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while visiting Rio.
Our room overlooked the park and the alley used by pedestrians heading to and from the beach. Through no fault of the hotel, the area was unusually noisy in the evenings and early mornings, with occasional bursts of loud music. As a result, it was difficult to get a restful night’s sleep. During our stay, the elevator button on the 4th floor was not functioning and we had to take the service elevator every time we wanted to go downstairs.

The location of the hotel is great! One block from Arpoador and Ipanema beaches, about five from Copacabana. Police is everywhere in the area, which is critical in Rio. Walking distance to several bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops.
The "swimming pool" is a joke and should be removed from the website. The gym has very few equipments. The elevators were off almost two days. Once we ordered a hot chocolate around 8 pm: it took one hour!! and it came as plain hot milk and chocolate powder.

The staff is very helpful, the location is great, the pool is great. They offered a room change when requested & late check out at no cost. This definitely pushed my rating up a point or 2.
The hotel is not at the expected level for the rate. It's OK, but it lacks some basic care. Our room had a hole on the wall right by the window, meaning the room isn't soundproof/insulated and you can hear everything happening in the room next door as if it were happening in your own room. Staff mentioned all "superior" rooms are equally noisy, except for the corner rooms. So you need to get lucky with room assignments. Beds and pillows aren't great either. Room size for a "superior" room is a bit disappointing.
Toiletries are also pretty poor. Only a shower cap and a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner.
Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expected more from a 4-star hotel that costs almost $300 a night in Brazil.
