Wonderful
In the heart of Lapa this hotel fits right in. You are 2 min walk from the famous stairs, and 10 min walk from all the bars and clubs. The metro is a 5 min walk. Breakfast has great options but too many fruit flies around the food. You get a welcome drink which you can claim at the roof top bar. They also host so many activities everyday like Karaoke, free walking tours etc. You can eat lunch and dinner there out of your own pocket and I recommend it. Reviews say the area is dangerous and I didn’t find it to be the case entirely. There are plenty of homeless around so if you go out at night stay in lit areas and don’t go alone to feel extra safe.
The room is very nice but wish it came with a TV. Too many fruit flies around breakfast time.

Good position in Lapa!
Very disappointing experience with both the hotel and Booking
I’m having a very bad experience with this property. They charged my wife’s card even though the booking clearly stated that cancellation was free. We contacted Booking several times, and they keep telling us to speak with the property.
We personally spoke with the reception, who said they would contact the accounting office. After a few days, we were told that the refund would be made in about one month. We explained that we didn’t use a credit card but a regular debit card, and they didn’t seem to know how to handle that situation. Their answers felt very generic, and it seems that the accounting office never actually processed the refund.
I’m very disappointed with both the hotel and Booking. We have always trusted Booking for our reservations, but this time the situation has been handled very poorly.

The security guard was super nice
I asked for an early check in and they made me wait for two hours in the lobby to tell me they didn’t have any room available, besides that the air conditioning wasn’t working, the curtains was falling off and the room wasn’t like the pictures

The staff was super nice and very helpful, they did a great job. I felt very welcomed by the people working here!
The location is rough, the area is super noisy at all times, the building doesn’t have the best windows so you can hear everything. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend it, I couldn’t sleep properly. Cleanliness could improve.

Big room with city view, clean, breakfast included. Hotel is located on a busy street, and it can be noisy at night, but we didn't find it bothersome. We stayed at the hotel during our participation in the marathon, and it was close to the starting point. Hotel provided an early breakfast, which was convenient

Great central hotel, good vibe, clean and modern in an old building.
Wifi didn't work during my stay, there was no water fountain as this was also broken. There was an ATM in the lobby that offered withdrawals with the small charge of $50.28 USD (293 R$)!! The most expensive I have ever seen anywhere in the world and pretty scandalous.

Nice decor and felt safe. Enjoyed the roof top restaurant food, drinks and view.
The room was so expensive to say it was over the main street, with huge single glazed windows that did not close fully. It wad loud!!! We had earplugs but we woke up easily ten times a night. Also we paid for a really nice room, which was expensive and then breakfast was expensive on top of that.

This is a lovely boutique hotel ideally situated in the heart of Rio's vibrant nightlife district. The staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend it. The metro is very close, but it's a good idea to take a taxi when returning late at night.
