Second Selina I've stayed in. Trendy, centrally located, comfy mattress, powerful shower, everything I need.
Not a dislike, but just be aware loud music will come from the roof top bar most nights.

Room ok.
Unpolite staff on reception. Didnt allow early check in and worst, delayed the check in for about 25 minutes, because the room was not ready. Didnt even bother of warning this when I arrived.

Nice property. Good location in center - but far from beaches and sometimes hard to get and Uber. I was in three different accommodations and liked two of them. Very clean and organized and most of the staff was really nice. Good restaurant and nice rooftop.
The beds in the standard twin accommodation werent nice. The mattes was bigger then the bad and overall the bad was small. The blanket was too thin and they only give one small blanket, even if youre sharing a big bed. My dad stayed there too and when he asked for another blanked they said they couldnt give one and that he should turn down the air conditioning (its was already off and its was a cold rainy day). I was exited to have my family in a Selina for the first time and it made me really sad the way he was treated. Definitely not what Im used to in all my stays in different Selinas.

Location is nice. Right next to Arcos da Lapa and 3min walking to Escadaria Selarn. Also several bars and restaurants close by. Even at night time you can walk outside to/from the bar area. The rooftop bar is quite fun and frequently visited by outside customers. So you can get a glimpse of Rio's nightlife even without leaving the hotel.
Big issues with cleanliness. It was simply dirty at all common areas. Rooms are better in terms of cleanliness and bathrooms are quite new/clean, too. Still the dirt in the other areas doesn't make you feel relax and comfortable. Stuff is quite useless. Friendly on the first sight, but if you need something, you are on your own.
