The staff were nice, and really liked to chat. The bed was clean, and theres a kitchen and TV inside you can use if you'd like. There are also some students from. The nearby university living there, so that's a great opportunity to practice your portugese if you speak it!
Theres also a pet dog and cat on site, who were both very friendly, but be aware I'd you're allergic.
Theres no AC (which I knew when making the booking), but the fan they provided was a little loud, even on the slowest setting. Earplugs helped, but just be aware of this.
Also, the location is on a one lane street, so if you're taking an uber, be careful you don't hit the car door on the wall or gate. I found it easier to asked to be dropped at the corner on the main road, and walk the 100m up to the hostel.

Very well connected to the rest of the island. Everything was clean and big kitchen. One of the woman working there helped us with good advices.
We had trouble with the owner. She was not always very friendly and helpful. She didn’t let us take a free shower on the last day shortly after checkout even though there weren’t any other guests in the hostel. She and her family were making noise every morning at 8 am next to our window.

Amazing experience! 100 stars. Treated me like family. Clean and comfortable. Very very fast and stable internet speed w a cowork area for those digital nomads. 300 download speed, 100 upload. Emmanuel translated for me and show me around beaches and historical areas. Also made me traditional foods. Stay here!
