I loved the property and all of its amenities, I got my first tattoo at the tattoo shop right next door to our room. Crazy good location right next to the beach with a great common area and surf rentals. The waves were perfect for getting better as a begginer before surfing bigger waves at Mole. This place was so cool, I wish we stayed longer for the party and DJ set. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at, definitely wil be back.

The Search House is an absolute gem! The place has a cozy camp-house vibe while still offering great facilities. The private rooms are amazing and very reasonably priced, and the best part — it has direct access to the beach!
The staff are super friendly, and a special shout-out goes to Bia, whose energy and vibe can brighten anyone’s day. The hostel has a separate lockers area, which means guests aren’t disturbed when people pack up early in the morning — such a thoughtful detail.
I also loved the beautiful shared spaces. There’s a great area for guests to gather and do activities, and the shared kitchen is very well equipped, making it easy to cook and socialize.
the washroom cleanliness could be improved a bit, and a breakfast buffet option would be a great addition. On one of the nights, the shared rooms were freezing since there was no operational heating system, though I imagine this wouldn’t be a problem during summer months.

There are so many positives about this hostel. I stayed with a group of friends from Monday to Thursday and didn’t expect much with the cold, gloomy weather. But the amazing staff—super friendly and kind—really made our weekday stay fun. The hostel sits right on the beach with direct access, and whether it was the ping pong table or the pool, the vibe was always chill and social. Great spot for solo travelers too.

Stayed in girls dorm. Comfy beds, and AC. Modern bathroom, cute outdoor area to hang clothes. Hostel is good, chill vibes. Met some great people, they have nightly activities and surf lessons etc.
Only down side is the manager is a little too serious, the other girls are desk were much more helpful.
But would def stay again, and suggest to anyone!

Many different common areas indoors and outdoors which was nice. My dorm had a private balcony with space to hang your wet clothes and even sit down. Location was good as the hostel has a direct access to the beach and a short walk to a supermarket and restaurants. They also offer various activities (free and paid) which was good.
Despite the positive aspects, unfortunately I had a really bad experience in this hostel which I wasn’t sure if I should mention but I think it’s important to speak up about it. In one of the days during my stay in the hostel I returned at 14:40 PM to the dorm to find someone who isn’t from our dorm using our private toilet for their “needs” (the dorm’s front door is always unlocked and I heard the “noises” and then saw the girl quietly sneaking out of the room afterwards). However right before she closed the dorm’s door she noticed me behind her looking at her confused and she approached me quickly and started lashing at me in English (with a heavy Argentinian accent) why do I keep the dorm’s door open. At first I was shocked from the unexpected accusation by someone I have never seen before, and it seemed to me as if she was trying to justify her entry to the room and usage of our toilet. When I replied to her that the wind from the open window must have blown on the front door and opened it, she said I should keep the window closed. Then I explained to her that the room is hot which is why the other guests and I have opened the window to get some fresh and cool air. However, while I was talking she suddenly waved her hand quickly in front of me, cut me in the middle of my words and said aggressively that she doesn’t speak English. Later I realized she works in the hostel which made me confused how can someone from the hostel’s staff can treat guests like that.
A day later, the same girl came to clean our room early in the morning (at approx 08:20 AM) when we were still sleeping, she woke us up, tried to turn on the light (until one of the guests asked her not to because people were still sleeping..), pulled of bedsheets and moved stuff around the dorm, open/closed doors loudly and more, all BEFORE people like myself had even the chance to wake up, organize our stuff and check out at 11:00 AM at the time the hostel allows to check out.

The staff in reception, bar and restaurant are all very friendly. The facilities are very clean and the beds are comfortable. They organise day time and evening activities every day. Kitchen is also very well equipped and the fridge isn’t overloaded like most hostels.

Right on the beach, nice pillows and crispy sheets, big clean communal kitchen, friendly staff, decent bar and restaurant onsite and a good place to meet new people.
Pool could do with a good proper clean (a bit murky) and it’s quite expensive for what you’re paying for. The actual owner seemed a bit grumpy.
