The property is really well located, next to a host of local amenities and right by the Lagoon. The staff are helpful and friendly. The common area amenities are great for socialising.
The dorms are somewhat rough and ready. The light in the dorm that I stayed in was poor, one of the showers didn’t seem to have a temperature dial and it all just felt a little thrown together.

The hostel was a good locations, with beaches and restaurants nearby.
The layout of the room was weird. We booked a private double room and it was a room filled with bunk beds, with a double bed put up in the corner. The room was also very cold.

I got dengue and had to extend my stay as I was so sick. The hostel staff really worried about getting the money for the next night instead of trying to provide any care while I had 40 degrees of fever and couldn't get myself out of the bed. When I told the hostel staff that I am really sick and feel horrible, I was told „It is ok, just pay“. That was quite upsetting as I was alone and already worried for my health. I understand the hostel policy but I would have really expected some concern and care in such a case of medical emergency, rather than only worrying about the payment.

The staff was generally nice and helpful. The hostel has a great social vibe to it, with a combo pool and ping-pong table, plus a swimming pool, as well as a bar. There was a small market next door and a really nice fresh fruit and vegetable market less than 5-minute walk away.
They didn't allow outside alcohol, yet constantly ran out of various beer types, leaving drinkers to switch to different beer with each purchase. The inside common area and reception are essentially open-air to the front patio and despite having no-smoking signs posted on the wall of the patio, smoking was allowed. As a result, the entire reception and common area was exposed to smoke throughout the day. The shared bathroom closest to my room rarely had hot water and the water pressure was a trickle. The kitchen and fridge space were also too small for the number of guests using it daily.
