Breakfast was good. The only thing was there were a lot of flies. Maybe thats all over Bonaire, i dont know.
Our first room had a very bad musty smell. It was horrible. Because I was traveling alone with my children, I didn’t bother changing rooms at first. However, after the second day, I was forced to change rooms because the air conditioning was not working. Thank God that room didn't have the smell. i didnt like that there were no extra sheets and towels. No towel for the floor in the bathroom.

The only thing I liked was that the kitchen is well stocked, nothing else.
The beds are uncomfortable to sleep on. They only have one pillow. Things are dirty. The living room carpet hasn't been cleaned for at least years. The bathroom is disgusting. Everything is old and dirty. We found leftover food on the sofa. It smells damp. It's not worth staying there. Very, very dirty.

The pool and bar were nice. I really liked the sand border to the pools. It's not a beachfront resort, so that made it "beachy". The staff were wonderful. They were friendly and were always willing to answer any questions. The tropical drinks at the bar were very tasty! They had a theme dinner each night of the week which was nice for variety. The location was just a short drive south of the airport, so it was only a few minutes drive from shopping and activities north of the airport.
I have to be gluten free for medical reasons and the onsite restaurant didn't really have any options and the staff didn't appear to be trained / knowledgeable. A manager was able to say which things "should" be gluten free, but it's a shared kitchen, so couldn't guarantee cross-contamination wasn't present. Towels were only changed once every 4 days and were not changed on the schedule they posted.

The pool and the poolbar.
The property promotes something online that does not reflect reality. When we checked in, we were given a very small room, completely different from the photos shown on the website. I went to the reception to request another room, but they said none were available unless I paid for an upgrade. I agreed to pay for the upgrade, but afterward, they informed me that I also had to pay a $200 deposit for the new room.
I told them I was fine with the deposit, but I had taken pictures of the upgraded room for them to review before charging me. Since then, I have been messaging them daily to discuss the situation, but they have ignored all my messages and have not followed up at all.
When we arrived, the upgraded apartment looked unorganized and not well-prepared, as if it hadn’t been used in a while. The next day, no one informed us that maintenance would enter the apartment, so when we returned, the door was unlocked, and workers were inside servicing the air conditioning.
On the third day, a very kind lady came and knocked on the door. As I was walking to open it, she opened it herself and immediately apologized, explaining that she thought she had been given the wrong room because the chairs outside were positioned in a way that made it seem like no one was staying there. This shows that the outdoor setup was not arranged properly to indicate that the room was occupied.
The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were nicely organized, which was a positive aspect. However, the bathroom drain had a very bad smell, which made the stay uncomfortable.
On the day we checked in, I also asked about getting a refund, as I did not want to stay in the original tiny room. However, the staff advised me to stay, saying that previous guests had issues getting refunds, even though this is not what the policy states.
Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience.

No shower gel, no hand soap, not enough towels, no bath floor towels, no toilet paper ( only one toilet paper)
At least it has to be mention that you don't get shower gel, hand soap, no toilet paper for your stay at Resort Bonaire when you make your reservation so that you can come prepared although I'am of the opinion that the mentioned articles has to be present( a must)in the appartment/room. I have no problem with the paying of a guarantee deposit of US$ 200 but I should get it back the moment I check out and not after 10 days.
Could not get what I wanted to drink at the bar because there was no ice, bad for the service.

The location was ideal, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fairly well equipped. Also, the pool was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs and definitely the highlight of the resort. However, the $75 late check-out fee until 7pm was steep considering the check-out time is unusually early (9:30-10:00am) compared to 11am for most hotels. With a checkout time of 11am or 12pm, we could have left for our flight without paying such a large fee and likely returned, but we won't be returning here with that issue. Additionally, the inner units have no ventilation options while showering, a huge design flaw in a humid environment, and we had black mold in our bathroom that was very smelly and a health hazard. Lastly, the resort is "gated" and claims to provide free parking but since it is only gated from the front entrance, other visitors entered from the side entrances and parked around our unit, forcing us to park in the surrounding neighborhood at night and walk onto the resort from dark streets.

Location was perfect! Loved being near the airport and supermarkets and dive sites!
I hate the 2-bed situation and the beds have foam mattresses and weird pillows. My neck and back and shoulders were in pain as a result. The beds separated if we tried to sleep close to each other. Next year I will strap the 2 beds together at the legs and put an extra sheet to eliminate the space so I don’t end up on the floor between the beds.
Also, none of the 2 bedroom apartments have it so BOTH bedrooms have bathrooms INSIDE the bedroom. And the one bedroom that does have a bathroom inside it, does NOT have a door. So when u REALLY want privacy, you have to kick the other person out. I don’t know why a bathroom has no door. That is strange. Only a short wall separates a person sleeping from a person “going” in the middle of the night.
