Architect of the building, friendly / helpful staff, and central location.
Room was directly on Main Street with lots of traffic noise. Would recommend a room at the side or back of the building if youre a light sleeper.

Great location right in the middle of La Paz and just a couple of blocks from the teleferico. Shower had great pressure and hot water. Room was large. Expansive buffet in a beautiful setting. Welcome drink in the bar was a very nice touch.

my first review was a mistake since I was thinking of the other hotel, I like the hotel because of the location which is really in the heart of La Paz and the hotel itself is like a museum. an old colonial building where the owner was able to display old stuff from the past. it is abut 30 min from the airport depending on the traffic
the towel. they need to change the towel. I have slept in so many hotels and this is the one that I don't like. maybe they need to change their towel because it looks like good enough to be a rug because of the color. I am so sorry to say this but it is not so nice to see the towel looking like it has been used so many times.

Lovely decor, beautifully restored old building which was a welcoming, Quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of La Paz. The staff were wonderful and professional in an old- school way. Highly recommend.

Everything about La Casona was excellent. It is one of the coolest, most beautiful hotels I've stayed in in South America. Every corner of the hotel is unique. Having breakfast in the copola is amazing and there are plenty of options. The staff went above and beyond for us, and stored our bags while we went on a few overnight trips. Extra plus was having a driver waiting to pick us up at the airport after going through the immigration chaos at 3am.
Only downside of this hotel is its location. It is on a very busy road in one of the more touristy areas. However, this means that its easy to get to and find and there are lots of food options nearby.

The location is ideal. The staff is excellent. Everything is extremely clean and the historical building is beautiful.
One room that I was put in was very noisy, but they changed me to another room as soon as I said some thing
