Excellent location near major tourist attractions and restaurants. The hotel is elegant and truly magnificent. The room was spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again on my return to Sofia. The breakfast was awesome!
The room was a little dark. You could use more lighting.

Amazing modern hotel with a spacious room and smart home features. The bed was very comfortable, the view was beautiful, and the staff was helpful and available at all times. The restaurant was also very good.

The balcony is very small you can’t even stand on it , we have a really bad smell from the shower discasting i have tell the front desk about it and they all the time says he well send some one to fix it but the didn’t fix any think in 4 days , before we leave about 35 hour i went to the front desk and ask about transfer to the air port they have told me it will be 70 euro for 7 people in van and 16 for 2 people on taxi and i have paid the money without and worry when its time to leave i go to the desk for check out and they say i have to pay tourist tax they didn’t even say anything about this in the check in or at the booking after this the van arrive and i go to check it and I found the van just for 6 people and there is no space for the luggage i have return to the hotel to ask them the didn’t take any responsibility they told my there is no refund and if I don’t want to take the ride “you can stay here” and i had to take another taxi

Beautiful hotel, very well located (to go to or from the airport or to visit the city center). Rooms are big, well-ventilated, beds are super comfortable, and service is always ready to help.
The breakfast room is super nice too, and the food is quite nice (not 100 options), but enough to enjoy.

Breakfast is rich although you have to wait in line to get a table.
Love the old building and its' flair.
Bread is not fresh. For 24 Euros per person one could expect fresh bread.
The space could be cleaner - lots of crumbs and various food remainings at the window.
I booked a 31 sqm room and got a 24sqm. Comment was that these are deluxe twin rooms as well.
Did not want to discuss furhter because the personnel is really friendly and professional.

Old hotel but well renovated. Fancy with classic details. Perfect location. Restroom heating was from floor which make u feel good.

The room was missing closet ( we stayed one night, so it wasn't issue for us)
The bathroom was not clean enough while we arrived, water did not go down so it stood and it was not possible to shower.

Our stay at Sofia Balkan Palace was absolutely wonderful. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, close to everything, yet peaceful and comfortable. The hotel feels incredibly cozy and welcoming, almost like being at home. The rooms are not very large, but they are beautifully arranged and give a warm, comforting feeling that makes you relax the moment you walk in. The beds, linens, and overall cleanliness were excellent, and the breakfast was fresh, tasty, and satisfying every morning.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the people working at the hotel. A very special thank-you to Anastasia at reception — she is a refined lady with outstanding professionalism, grace, and kindness. She went above and beyond to help us and genuinely made our stay memorable. Her attention to detail and warm attitude made us feel valued and cared for at all times.
We would also like to thank the other reception ladies — every single one of them was kind, attentive, and wonderful. The entire team created such a positive atmosphere that we truly felt welcomed like family.
Everything was simply perfect, and we will absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

The first room we good had a bad smell and it took time until they replaced it . Location was perfect. Cannot be better. The breakfast was a std. one, without any special things. On the other side we could get a very late check out, at approximately 20:00 with a small payment.
Both rooms seems that they were not thoroughly cleaned. They put always one set of towels and always we had to ask for one more set.
