Extremely good value for the price. Right near two Metro stations, close to all the historical and cultural sites, plus very near Vitosha Blvd and great selection of cafe's and bistro's.
Nothing. I prefer older, historical hotels. Some may prefer modern techie corporate looks. That's fine but this fits with Sofia.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the city center. The building is older, with a somewhat traditional/communist-era style, but it is clean and has a certain cozy charm. The room was comfortable, clean, and easy to keep warm.
The breakfast is fairly basic, but still good. A nice touch is that espresso is included in the morning.
Rooms on the lower floors are preferable. The reception is open 24/7, which is very convenient. There is also a complimentary iron available in the hallway for guests to use.
Overall, we had no issues during our stay.
Parking can be a slight inconvenience, as the hotel has only a few spaces available. However, there is a nearby parking facility about 300 meters away, which is easy to access (approximately €25 per day).

The staff was not helpfull. Our plans changed so we check out early. I kindly asked to change the dates for our last 2 rest of days to the next week. First they said no. After that, talked to manager of hotel he said there is no available room. But i said i see in booking there is. So not helpfull staff and very old, neglected hotel with poor facilities.

The location was good, we had an easy way to get around. We also had great help with the parking, but it is not easily accessible so you cannot really use it at your own pace.
Facilities have a really old style, a little bit smelly. Stuff wasn't speaking English properly that made our stay a little bit hard.

The *only* good thing about this place is the location.
This place deserves negative stars. It is dirty, the room looked like you might catch a disease from the bed, pillows or floor. It's a live-in hotel, a lot of strange men living there, congregating in the lobby & halls. Everything about it was gross. I immediately left after checking in & seeing the halls & room & people (unfortunately I prepaid, no refund). The pictures & reviews completely misrepresent the hotel. I have stayed all over the world & this was the first time I felt, not just grossed out by the hotel, but unsafe & left.

I was very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The room and hallways were not clean, we noticed dust, stains, and an unpleasant smell. When we entered our room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. It made the room very uncomfortable, especially since we were traveling with children.
The hotel also isn’t suitable for families. There were no clean or safe areas for kids to play, and the overall atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming. Staff didn’t seem concerned about the cleanliness or the smell.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for families with children or anyone expecting a clean and fresh place to stay.

Location: Ideally situated close to the city center and main attractions.
Accessibility: Only an 8-minute walk from the Serdika Metro station, offering quick airport access.
Service: Reception is open 24/7, and staff efficiently handled my transportation needs (taxi order was fast).
Amenities: Thoughtful in-room setup, including a dedicated electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee supplies.
1. Check-in Experience and Delays
The initial check-in process was inefficient and poorly managed. Upon arriving at 1:00 PM, I was correctly informed that check-in started at 2:00 PM. However, when I returned at 2:45 PM, I experienced a subsequent delay of approximately 20 minutes due to staff managing a shift change and break schedule. This secondary, unnecessary wait made for a frustrating start to the stay.
2. Room Environment and Cleanliness
The assigned room had a strong and pervasive odor of stale cigarette smoke, indicating a potential failure in deep cleaning protocols. When reported, the only solution offered by management was to open the window. Despite keeping the window open for two full days, the odor persisted, making the room environment unacceptable.
3. Maintenance and Functionality Failures
The room presented multiple critical maintenance issues:
Climate Control: The air conditioning unit was non-functional. I was forced to request and use a portable space heater from reception, which is an inadequate and inefficient solution for proper climate control.
Electrical Issues: The room's electrical power initially required multiple attempts before being successfully switched on.
Plumbing Issues: The bathroom drainage was severely obstructed, causing water to pool and overflow during showering/washing. Furthermore, there was a persistent and foul odor, consistent with sewer gas, emanating from the bathroom area.
4. Reservation Inaccuracy (Bedding)
As a solo traveler, I had specifically reserved a room with a large single bed. Instead, I was assigned a room with two separate twin beds. A further complication was that these mattresses were overly worn, sagging significantly in the middle, which made it impossible to push the beds together to form a comfortable sleeping arrangement.

I read many negative reviews and I was not sure if to book or not. But the room I got was excellent. It was clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable, I was on the 5th floor and had a standard single room with balcony - with a nice view. I definitely recommend it. The staff was also very polite and nice. I didn't have any issues and I had a nice and pleasant stay. And the location is really great. Don't forget to try the Chinese restaurant right next to it.

Disappointing
The location is excellent if you're attending an event at the Vasil Levski stadium, which is a short 10 minute walk away. The room and facilities were pretty basic, but was pleased there was a mini bar, kettle, and coffee and tea making items.
Parking is advertised and this was the main reason for booking, but when we arrived we were told it wasn't available and after driving around the area for over an hour we ended up parking a 30 minute walk away at an underground car park that cost 30 BGN for the night. The toilet in the double room was not working correctly, and it couldn't be fixed until the next morning because the maintenance man was not on duty, so there was the constant noise of the toilet filling up all night.
