Customer service was mixed / average. AC didn't work well, but it's an old building.

The AC is not working. Two years in a row. It was very uncomfortable, especially during the night.
There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the shower drain was clogged.

The hotel is in an unbeatable location in the center of Sofia, making it easy to reach all the main attractions. Our room on the 8th floor was exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered a wonderful view. Whenever we had a problem, the staff were efficient and proactive in sending technical help to assist us.
Staff interactions could be much warmer and more gracious, as service lacked a friendly smile. The air conditioning was ineffective and only produced lukewarm air, resulting in us receiving a portable fan, which was disappointing given that the room windows cannot be opened for fresh air. Investing in a updated AC system is definitely necessary. Additionally, the hotel is not stroller-friendly, as we had to carry both our stroller and luggage up the entrance steps without any assistance from the team.

Great location, very elegant and perfectly clean. I always stay here when in Sofia. For many years, the hotel maintained the quality of rooms and personnel.
It also has underground parking, a nice restaurant and terrace.
It was my birthday and I got a very pleasant surprise: cake, wine and complementary services. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

The room and the bathroom were one of the biggest we've been in Bulgaria. The hotel is just right to anything in the city center within a walking distance, including parks, metro station, museums and other "must visit" locations, and shops and restaurants. The stuff is pretty friendly.
There are some things which should be improved for a 5* hotel, such as different "damages" around the room and bathroom, plus the floor wasn't that clean. The furniture has lived pretty good life as well.
Maybe the main issue was the TV where the option for kids was just next to adult/18+ whoever knows what behind, with the later requiring just the room number to be accessed..., so parents with kids could get some pretty bad experience.
We don't watch TV so often, but for a family with Netflix and Disney accounts plus the times we live, seeing that the room TV offers some old movies for 8 euro seems pretty weird.

Excellent location, spacious room, excellent bathroom facilities, and a fantastic breakfast.
I didn't like the style of the room with old red, musty-smelling carpets.

I had paid for my cousin and her 3 children for a suite with breakfast for 1 adult and 3 children, whose ages were specified. I prepaid the entire trip and made sure everything was confirmed, only to find out that the hotel didn’t allow two of the children to eat their breakfast. Thus, 2 children went outside of the hotel to look for food. Absolutely horrible service and zero hospitality!

The location cannot be more convenient (right next to the theatre and main square), private underground parking with friendly security officers, extremely professional reception team, marvelous restaurant. The entire hotel is classy. This is the first time I saw a reception representative reading passport data with dedicated NFC scanner. The green tile in the bathroom is something from another world, creating unique atmosphere. The room is perfectly conditioned and furnished. This hotel is aimed at business people and diplomats (or maybe even secret service agents pretending to be diplomats), reminding of the good old times. It is a true five star hotel in the heart of Sofia.
It is completely unacceptable to have a password-free, ubiquitous and flawlessly working Wi-Fi Internet when in some other 5-star hotels you have to go into the lobby just to check your email with a time-limited card…

Breakfast is OK, there's no drinking water in the room, there are two small bottles, that you can pay for them if you want to drink
