We liked the location. It was very close (5-10 min walk) to the bus stop from which we could go anywhere we wanted. I absolutely love the public transportation in Sofia! We were also able to walk to many of the places we wanted to go.
The room was pretty good. It was certainly big enough, and we liked that we had a balcony and a large bed. The bathroom and the bedroom could have been a little cleaner, but it wasn’t actually bad.
I really liked the breakfast. I thought there was great variety, and the food was very good. All of the hotel staff were extremely pleasant, but a big shout out to Peppa in the breakfast room. She was absolutely amazing, and so very friendly with the customers. Peppa was my favorite part of my stay at this hotel :)
The hotel did have an “old” feel to it. It could use some updating. For the price, I was ok with this, though.

Room and Breakfast are good and convenient
Air-Conditioning did not work, not the central air condition, as well as the separate SAMSUNG air-Conditioning.
Which is and was not pleasant along the hot days, I was guest in the hotel.
And, it should be easily possible to have professional maintenance. Not waiting if everything is broken,

Our room was non-smoking and it smelled of cigarettes inside. We got stuck in the elevator and waited 20 minutes for the door to open. The girl at the reception from the night shift had a disgusting attitude.

Friendly and helpful staff, location is excellent, close to public transportation, in a quiet residential area, close to shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, free, abundant breakfast. They have very spacious rooms with balconies and a fridge.
The only thing that bothered us a little bit was that the AC was not strong enough but we were there during a heat wave and were coming from the States.

The hotel is very nice with spacious room and terrace, nice breakfast and very kind personal. It is really good for price and location close to centre and also to airport with busses 84 and 184! There is lift, elevator and restaurant!

No towels, water bottles were opened and empty mini bar. Not a single vending machine nor open bar. No reception instructions on phone.

We spent 8 nights at the Europe Hotel in Sofia over the New Year period (Dec 24 - Jan 1), and it was a truly enjoyable experience overall. The rooms are spacious, clean, and many have balconies with stunning panoramic views of the city and Vitosha Mountain. The location is convenient – quiet yet easy to reach the city center by bus or taxi, with free private parking which was a big plus.
What truly elevated our stay was the breakfast! The buffet offers a great variety – fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and good coffee. But above all, I want to give a huge shout-out to the breakfast manager, a lady with extraordinary human qualities. She is incredibly warm, attentive, always smiling, and goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. She ensures everything runs smoothly, replenishes the buffet with care, and creates such a positive, welcoming atmosphere that it really sets the perfect tone for the day. It's rare to encounter someone so genuinely kind and dedicated in hospitality – she truly deserves recognition!
The staff in general were friendly and helpful. No major issues – everything matched expectations for a solid 4-star hotel at this price point.
We highly recommend the Europe Hotel and would happily return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great breakfast. The hotel is very close to Metro and bus stations. The stuff are very friendly.
There are not enough parking spots. Mattresses should be replaced, they are not comfortable.
