The breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel is situated close to the metro station..
I booked this hotel because it offered an airport transfer. I booked the transfer for 3:50 a.m., but the shuttle left without me. I was only 2 minutes late, and nobody informed me in advance that the transfer would not wait. As a result, I had to take a taxi and pay extra charges.

The elevators weren’t working properly. They gave us a card that didn’t open the door, so I had to go down again (9 floors). Then we had a bath which was leaking everywhere — it leaked not only in the bathroom but also through the wall into the main room and left everything soaked. There were water spots on the walls and on the ceiling. Overall, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Location is great for conferences and summits near the expo center, also very close to the airport and subway to the centre. Quiet location. You can completely darken your room and sleep if it not hot in the room (AC not working properly). Airpost shuttle service was great, staff also. Very nice people.
The AC didn't work when the hotel was full. It was superhot in the room, sometimes reaching 28°C. And you cannot open the window. The water in the shower is supercold if you do not wait cca 10 min for the hot water to arrive. The shampoo was basically water with maybe 1% of shampoo in ti,, you couldn't wash yourself with it properly.so bring your own shampoo. The hairdryer is so weak that it takes your 15 min to dry your hair... The elevator sometimes didn't want to stop at my floor and it was scary. The hotel should be renovated.

The stuff at the reception were accommodating when asked if an alternative room could be provided
The whole hotel had a very bad cigarette smell throughout the halls and the room. We tried to change but all the rooms were essentially the same. We could not stay inside. Room windows could not be opened and the AC units were not able to deal with the situation. The whole hotel is quite old, and rooms have visual damages from all the previous use. AC units are old and barely working. It's definitely not the place you'd want to come back to. Most important and most frustrating though that despite what is claimed on Booking the hotel would not cancel the reservation and booked us for the entire stay even though after the room inspection we informed the reception that we will not be staying due to reasons above. So I would advise to ask to inpect rooms before paying for your stay at the reception, to avoid similar experience. Booking customer support also did not help

The room was very spacious and elegant
It was not clear where to park. I went down the C curved ramp since it was part of the main building only to have to back up in reverse - not pleasant at night. The correct parking was on the left behind another building which made one thing that it was not the hotel’s parking.

The hotel is close to the airport, it's also close to a metro station. There's a big parking space which is a big plus for Sofia. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. The boulevard next to the hotel is extremely noisy but the room was quiet and peaceful at all times thanks to the good window isolation. Breakfast was not abundant, it was exactly the same each day, but it was delicious. Coffee was good, too.
As soon as we entered the room we were met by the overpowering smell of air freshener (or it could have been some sort of a cleaning product). It was so strong we had to leave the bathroom door open and go out for a bit. Another thing I didn't like is the fact there is a fridge, but it is only meant for the mini bar products, which means it's absolutely impossible to be used. Staff could be friendlier, too. :)
