Adam Shapiro - I can't in good conscience give a full review of the Mountain View Aparthotel. It turns out that their pool was out of order when we arrived and they very kindly and generously upgraded us to the Predela 2 hotel, at no additional cost.
The lady who met us was very kind and very sweet and we truly appreciate all that she did to make our stay in Bansko the wonderful time that it was. I'm confident that Mountain View must be a very nice place to stay in, if only because of the management of the lady at the front desk - I'm sorry, I did not get her name... From what we saw of the Mountain View, it looked very pleasant, but we were thrilled with the upgrade to the Predela 2 and so therefore want to sincerely thank the staff at Mountain View from the bottom of our hearts. Our holiday in Bansko will not be forgotten!!

In general, spacious apartment, cozy looking. Walking distance from the gondola (10 minutes wall)
Everything is old and lacking maintenance. For three days, I had issues with the toilet; water was leaking on the floor after flushing. It took them a long time to fix it. There was lots of dust in the corners. Some parts were broken—like ripped wallpaper was simply taped together. The pool full of mold. Except for the lady in the mornings, stuff don't know English and it was very hard to communicate.

Nice location, just off the beaten track but also close to everything. Nice pool and staff in hotel. Lovely and warm during winter
The sofa bed was awful, very thin mattress which dipped in the middle so unsuitable for 2 people to sleep on

The location was very good, at the top of a hill about 5 minutes away from the gondola and rental centre. The price was very reasonable (hence the title of this review). There were several shops and supermarkets nearby, as well as a lovely little café called The Snug. The hotel had a sauna at around 90c, which was good for recovery, and an electric coffee machine in the foyer. There is a small pub (The Hub) downstairs which had cheap drinks, nice staff, and some facilities (darts, TVs etc.).
The whole place had a very cheap and chaotic feel to it. The apartment we stayed in had several issues: one of the showers was broken and wasn't fixed despite being reported to the front desk, the other shower leaked so badly that we went through three hand towels per day to clean the floor, the cupboards in the kitchen were on the verge of breaking, the bedside locker in the room I stayed in was broken, the paint was falling off the walls beside the showers and there was evidence of mould in the bathrooms.
The staff were fine; not overly helpful but pleasant enough. They were constantly on the phone which made it hard to report issues or ask questions. We were met with some hostility when we asked for new towels and room cleaning for one of the bedrooms (one of the other rooms had been cleaned individually by request) which, given the issues above, was really annoying. The reception was manned half the time by a security guard who was often drunk and shouted on phone calls outside of the front of the building, right under our bedroom window.
The swimming pool was in poor condition, again with the paint falling off the walls, mould, and generally in poor shape. The railing was falling off one of the walls.

We liked the distance to the gondola - taking the path down the piste to get there. The staff were accommodating, especially the staff from the ski rental. The sauna and the pool were well kept and perfect for relaxing.
The shower in the bathroom leaked a bit.

The hotel was very close to the gondola, maybe 5 minutes by walk. There also were shops and places to eat nearby. There was a swimming pool which was a good size and a souna. There is no restaurant but a bar which is very lively and there is a table football.
The souna was located at different place, so to go to it you needed to cross the reception and go down to the underground floor. This wasn't very convinient because you need to walk from one place to another if you want to alterate.

Disappointing
Decent location. Nice pub next to it.
- Wifi not working. First night couldn’t connect, after managing to connect it was useless as the speed was too slow to load anything.
- Cracks all around the apartment, walls, tiles in the bathroom.
- Not a single place to hang the towels.
- Shower is moldy, and water drain is incredibly slow so you must really be careful to not flood the bathroom.
- Walls and doors thin as a paper, you can hear every step and every word of people in the apartments around you.
