Van der valk and their staff were amazing .We had an unfortunate incident where friends I was travelling with had a car accident and required hospitalization
and then rehabilitation at the hotel after their release from hospital.The staff could not have been more helpful and understanding .

We liked the recent changes made to the hall, the bar and restaurant,, which made it feel a lively, colourful space and the hub of the hotel. The staff were kind and helpful and the food and drinks excellent - the terrace especially, has been developed in a very attractive and practical way allowing it to be either indoor or outdoor space within minutes. We didn't have breakfast this time but expect to next time. Instead we enjoyed both restaurant and bar meals, drinks and snacks. The funicular railway was running to the Thermes which made accessing it very easy. Having known and liked the hotel in its previous guise, it was exciting to see all the changes and how much more colourful and enjoyable it had become. One small point, the drying line in the bathroom for swimwear is very useful and worthwhile.
My only issue was the mattress on the bed that felt uneven and wasn't stable enough for me as I need a hard and solid mattress. But otherwise everything else was fine.

We had a lovely stay and thank the staff for making our stay a special one. The standard room and ensuite bathroom were chic, very roomy, and comfortable. The vernicular to the Thermes de Spa was a lovely perk and made our trip to the spa a breeze. The location is excellent and right at the town centre. We would definitely stay here again.
