the central location near the boardwalk; spaciousness of room (large bathroom) and its view on the square
the hotel which has the year 1958 in its logo has renovated the entrance hall and breakfast space; nothing is left from the valuable modern interior but the staircase and its railing. everything replaced by generic and bland lounge-like stuff and colors. when I crossed hotel staff, nobody bothered to say hello. only the blond lady serving breakfast on Friday was welcoming. strange. breakfast offer is fair but not exceptional (e.g., industrial juices). no slippers, no robes in the rooms. hotel is fine; I guess I was just disappointed the architectural vales got erased.

Affordable, comfortable, excellent Staff, continental breakfast is ok, only a few kilometres to the centre n the sea. Plenty to do around with in a few minutes walk

Friendly personal. Ideal location.
Poorly cleaned rooms, especially the bathroom. Worn out furniture, uncomfortable beds, poor lighting in rooms (one window, no ventilation), suffocating room temperature. Narrow rooms and corridors.
Poorly organised breakfasts where there was personnel constantly checked up on the guests in an uncomfortable manner.

Wonderful
Very nice small hotel in centre of Ostend next to a tram stop. Close to seafront and shops. Room cleaned every day. Good breakfast selection and requested gluten free bread provided.
