Just a really good place to stay. Helpful for being in the centre of Ostend. Very close to the coastal tram that goes from De Panne to Knokke-Heist through Ostend. Ten minute walk to railway station. Nice room. Would recommend the Golden Lotus Chinese restaurant.

the central location near the boardwalk; spaciousness of room (large bathroom) and its view on the square
the hotel which has the year 1958 in its logo has renovated the entrance hall and breakfast space; nothing is left from the valuable modern interior but the staircase and its railing. everything replaced by generic and bland lounge-like stuff and colors. when I crossed hotel staff, nobody bothered to say hello. only the blond lady serving breakfast on Friday was welcoming. strange. breakfast offer is fair but not exceptional (e.g., industrial juices). no slippers, no robes in the rooms. hotel is fine; I guess I was just disappointed the architectural vales got erased.

Affordable, comfortable, excellent Staff, continental breakfast is ok, only a few kilometres to the centre n the sea. Plenty to do around with in a few minutes walk
