Extremely communicative owners and very clear instructions for after hours arrival. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Restaurant downstairs is full of character.
View from the back facing rooms was not great.

The room was tidy and very clean. The location is great. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was very nice, with a good selection.
I would recommend the hotel despite the negative experience during check-in.
Check-in is available only during a three-hour window each day. If a guest does not have the option to make a phone call, this can create a significant problem when trying to contact the staff, as they do not use Viber or WhatsApp and do not respond immediately to emails. Unfortunately, I was also not provided with instructions on how to access the keys. Nevertheless, once this issue was resolved, the overall experience was great.

We arrived by train and with a 4 year old was just a 10 minute walk through the nice shady streets.
Really comfortable bed, the room was simple but good for our needs, great location, they happily accommodated a very early check in as I was travelling with my 4 year old granddaughter.
Good water pressure in the shower and products provided.
My room had no air conditioning but a fan was provided and with the black out curtains closed the room was lovely and cool on returning after a long day. Nice and quiet and we slept well. Also a good smart tv and I was able to log into my netflix account easily for my granddaughters entertainment.
For what I paid for the comfort room (104) I had no expectations as we were using it as a base to wash and sleep. It could do with upgrading as you can see its tired, but everything was clean and comfie. I would go again happily.
From 5pm the reception was closed and there are no tea/facilities in the room which did surprise me.
An addition of a vending machine I would have found useful in the evening.

Good location and comfortable rooms
Check-in was poor - there was no one at reception when we arrived (within stated check-in times), we did not receive an email with the door and key box codes in advance and the phone number given on their booking.com profile was discontinued and there was no updated number on the locked front door. The owner of a neighbouring cafe helped us make contact on the phone and get the codes.
