Clean room with a decent shower. Extensive buffet breakfast with a chilled vibe. Location was good for onward cycling journey.
Booked last minute on my arrival in Oostende due to a previous Booking.com client stating there was bike storage. By mistake I brought my bike into the reception area when checking in and was immediately told off, and before I had chance to get my bike out, I was told off again for blocking the exit for guests. The receptionist impatiently waited for me to unload my panniers and I had to tell her twice to give me 5 minutes to sort my belongings out, as I assumed the bike storage would not be near my room. It was actually located 5 minutes away and consisted of an underground garage with a staff member’s car in it, leaving a bit of room for my bike. I felt very much that me and my bike were an inconvenience to this hotel’s regular systems and usual clientele.
To be fair to the hotel, had I had more time when I got to Oostende, I would’ve done more research into bike friendly hotels, which would’ve recommended a more suitable hotel for cyclists. By doing this, I could have avoided this unpleasant experience.

The 2-bedroom apartment, across the street from the main hotel building, was just fanstatic. Spacious comfortable living room with a great view. Well equiped kitchen. Delicious buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff.
