Bathroom: advertised as room with jacuzzi but it was broken No shower . Bath in front of window is very impractical . No curtains so everything turns wet . Impossible bathroom not worthy a 4 star hotel . Then noise from the ventilation is too loud. No possibility to turn it down. Temperature up or down did hardly make any difference. Not worthy to a 4 star hotel To get to the hotel is very hard- we had to break some rules to get there in the end.

I liked the general vibe of the old building, it really was a nice place to spend time and I would have loved a longer stay. The room was nice and spaceous, with a little corridor leading to the wardrobe, which I thought was neat. The man who helped me check in was very helpful.
The route to the hotel was difficult, mainly due to roadworks. The art applied at the breakfast location and in the garden felt very disconnected from the vibe of our room. More medival would probably have been a better match, though I know that tastes are subjective. We had received an (email) offer to upgrade our room to one with a bubblebath, but this was not communicated properly somehow, so we stayed in a nice non-bubblebath room instead.

I have paid extra for a particular room in the old cloister to have the receptionist offer me “an upgrade” in the new part of the hotel and for 40 minutes I had to explain that the cloister was the entire reason I chose this hotel. Horrible welcoming, not planning to repeat although I am in Leuven every week I will look for other hotels

renovation is a bit outdated, flooring in the corridors, some of the furniture in the room, bathrooms need an upgrade. The lobby could be more cozy en better decorated, look and feel are cold.

Understandable but on one night the hot water stopped working. Even though coffee makers are provided in your room it would be nice to have coffee/tea service available without needing to pay for breakfast.
