Located on Martelarenplein in Leuven, this hotel is conveniently in front of the main train station and a 5 to 10-minute walk from Grote Markt and its historic town hall. Leuven is located in the heart of Western Europe and the town itself has preserved its charms as an old university town with many of its buildings dating from the Middle Ages. The hotel is also just 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from St. Peter’s Church and close to the Oude Markt, with all its famous pubs. There is a large public car park for up to 500 cars nearby. Conveniently located, Leuven is 20 minutes from Brussels and only a few hours by train from London, Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne.

Disappointing
Breakfast and location are excellent. Staff was helpful.
I had room 14, which i guessed would be on the 1 floor. It was on the 3rd floor with 6 steep parts of stairs to climb. No elevator. I am 83 years old with bad knees. The bathroom had only a ceiling light. Very insufficient. Shampoo and soap are in a very hard plastic bottle which I could not squeeze

Good location, close to the train station.
Overall hotel makes the impression of being not very clean. In the corridor and the restaurant there's a strange smell and the floor in the restaurant was very sticky, tables were not clean and the food presentation was not the most inviting.

The staff were very friendly and check in and check out was easy. The restaurant and outdoor cafe were nice. The hotel is just across from the train station. The Wifi was pretty good. The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and shower. It was good value for money and there are minimarkets and plenty of restaurants, bars and take away places nearby. An easy walk into the centre of towns for meetings. I would stay there again.
As others have mentioned, expect lots of stairs (no lift) so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. Some of the room furnishings were a bit tired (e.g bedside table and creaky wardrobe) but fine. I regretted the lack of a kettle or coffee machine in the morning (see stairs).

A great place and amazing breakfast
An old room that needs some maintenance. It smelled like smoke in the room, which made me sleep with all the windows open. Bags of laundry filled the hallway.

Whatever it lacks in amenities and decor, it makes up in cleanliness of the room (inclusive of linen, towels and bathroom) and the friendliness of the staff, who were able to accommodate my request of a lower level room in short notice.
It is a noisy (busy central) location but the windows are sound proof. The hotel also offers a small fan to cope with the summer heat and avoid the outside noise with open windows.
