Clean, comfortable large apartment near many of the tourist sites, but quiet enough to have the windows open at night. The kitchen had plenty of pans and plates and glasses. The utensils are in a drawer within a drawer marked by stickers. The two bedroom apartment also had two toilets. Nele was very helpful when we forgot a backpack, realized that in Bruges, and we were able to come back a few hours later to pick it up.
Sometimes we lost the wifi signal at the edges of the apartment.

Great location! Walkable to the Dampoort train station for day trips to Antwerp and Bruges. Nice breakfast café around the corner. Laundromat nearby. Perfect for exploring the main square and canals of Ghent. The property was clean and had a basic kitchen perfect for a few at home travel meals.
Sadly the noise…people on the street sounded like they were in the room with us! At one point I thought someone had accidentally entered our apartment. Our neighbours were not excessively noisy, but the noise did carry. This was really the only downfall. I mention it because it did interfere with sleep.

The apartment was very close to restaurants, bars and only a short walk to the center. The apartment was very clean and tidy and well presented with everything i needed for my stay.

Place was spaceous for the two of us, clean, exactly as we expected. Bed was one mattress instead of two pussed together, we love that! Checkin and checkout was super easy, even tough there wasnt a frontdesk. The location was perfect too, so many lovely things nearby to explore!

I rang a bell that went to the property caretaker who was not there but remotely opened the door. The key was in the door of the unlocked room.
The steep stairs to the first floor were a challenge (my wife and I are senior citizens). Ours (room 103) was an efficiency apartment with two stools for a built-in table. I wish there were chairs that had back support instead of just stools. The pillows were too big for my preferences, so I ended up using my airplane neck pillow which I found more comfortable. There is a nice love seat couch but there would be room for another chair by the window to sit and read, which I missed. We only ate breakfast there and did no cooking, but the one time we tried to use the microwave to heat a cup of water, my wife was unable to figure out how to make it work, so just used the stove which worked fine. They initially wanted us to pay the city tax by cash, but the caretaker was never on site when we tried to contact her by pushing the button to talk to her (though did meet her the day we were leaving) so we ended up playing online. Because I got cash per their instructions for 10 days of city tax for our length of stay, as a result, I ended up with more cash in Euros than I needed. Since I come to the Euro zone (especially Gent) often, that's not a big deal to me, but might be or another guest not planning a soon return to Europe. Despite the problems, I would still consider booking here again the next time I come to Gent.

Everything has been straight forward and easy from the start. Nele was a wonderful host, great communication and couldn't be anymore helpful.
The road outside could get a little noisy late at night, even with windows closed. Just locals/tourists having fun but there was some loud music and shouting in the early hours.

Well located. Spacious penthouse for two people. Very comfortable.
One improvement would be the addition of a dresser for clothing. Without it one has to either hang up most of your clothes or keep getting them out of your suitcase.
Stairs are narrow and are winder treads. No lift so you will need to be fit enough to carry your luggage to the third floor.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The location is great, close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. The owner was very nice and welcoming, making check-in easy and offering helpful tips about the area. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room to relax and feel at home. One of the highlights was the extraordinarily large terrace — perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need, which made it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed here for a week. The owner of the apartment is great - very helpfull and so nice. The apartment has everything you might need - an equipped kitchen with an oven, big comfortable bed, warm bathroom, closet space. You can control the temperature in the apartment and set it to your liking.
The location is also great - very close to the strict centre with the canals, but also far enough to be quiet and calm.
Our apartment was below the street level (like a floor -0.5), so it's not very good for those who like to look out of the window and have a view beyond car tires and occasional pedestrian legs. It could also use some decoration, as the pure brown on white feels pretty stark. But those are really minor gripes. The place is great.

AMAZING LOCATION!!! so close to amazing restaurants, shops, and the heart of Ghent and all its history. Clean, safe, perfect place to relax after a long day of walking. Felt right at home!
Only downside was that any noise in the stairwell and hallway leading to our apartment door could be heard and there was typically a lot of noise early in the morning.

We had the penthouse apartment. It's very spacious and in an excellent location. But it could have been even better. There is so much space, but no drawers for clothes, although there is a hanging rail by the door. There are 5 dining chairs so we could use a couple of those as bedside 'tables'. Although spacious, in our opinion, it lacks a homely feeling which could be improved with some books, tourist information and perhaps some board games. We would also have appreciated information on how to control the lighting and heating.
But, none of these suggestions are essential, we still enjoyed our stay. We didn't meet the owners, but had good communication on WhatsApp.
