This is my second time staying at an NH property and both times it exceeded my expectations. The location was superb and the quality of service and the lovely and spacious room and bathroom were amazing. Great bathroom products and a very good breakfast. I would definitely stay at an NH in Ghent or anywhere.

Check in time was later than hoped for. Arrived early, and they stored the bags, but other guests, who had arrived hours later than us, were being checked in. Still had to wait until after 3pm

Modern, the location is perfect, and the food was delicious and has variety of options.
Check in late thought i was in the hotel before 3 pm however i got the room ready after 3 o’clock. The room service wasn’t good i have requested a slipper once i checked in and it came after 5 hours.

Stayed from May 19 to May 21 and unfortunately this was one of the least pleasant hotel experiences during our trip. At check-in, the hotel pre-authorized the full room amount. The front desk informed us that breakfast was not included and asked whether we wanted to add breakfast for the following days. We were told there was no rush and we could decide later. About an hour later, I returned to the front desk and booked breakfast for May 20 only (for two people). The staff confirmed everything was arranged and said no payment was needed at that time because they already had my credit card information. However, the next morning the restaurant had no record of our breakfast reservation and informed us that our pre-authorized amount did not cover breakfast. Although they eventually allowed us in, it was a very awkward and confusing situation. Shortly afterwards, I noticed the hotel increased the pre-authorized amount and charged my card. Because of this experience, we did not attend breakfast on May 21. During check-out, I found that the hotel had charged us for breakfast for BOTH mornings without authorization. After I disputed it, the front desk reluctantly corrected the bill and said the refund would be processed automatically. A few days later, the corrected amount was charged, but the original pre-authorization for the room still remained on my card, leaving a significant amount blocked. Guests should not have to wait weeks for hotel errors to be resolved. Another disappointing incident happened during our stay: hotel staff knocked on our room door and entered almost immediately without waiting for any response, saying they were there to clean the windows. This was extremely inappropriate and felt like an invasion of privacy. Overall, the staff came across as unfriendly and dismissive, and the service lacked professionalism. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations.

No English breakfast tea at breakfast. Hotel restaurant was very disappointing- it was just the bar. Food was not very nice. Availed of the birthday package which for €38 was very disappointing.

A very well managed hotel. The room was great. The Junior Suite had a little enclosed balcony with a perfect view of The Belfry and surrounding old buildings. The room was large and clean. The public areas are expansive. There were beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. The breakfast was spectacular with a large variety of hot and cold foods including fresh fruit. They also made additional items to order, such as Belgian waffles. The breakfast staff was helpful.
