A little further from the main attractions than I thought, but still worth it because it’s right by the train if you have heavy luggage.

Location and staff
The room was so small, 2 beds pushed together in a room that had about 3 extra feet on the side and 3 at the end. In order to get out of the bed against The wall you had to crawl across the other person. What appeared to be a closet was a Murphy bed so there was no place to hang clothes and no place for luggage. There was no bedside table, no paper cups and just 2 bath towels, no hand towels. I’m surprised that Ibis would put their name on such a horrible experience. I have relied on Ibis for a moderately priced hotel in Europe for many years but will not stay in one again.

Proximity to the city centre, air conditioning was perfect, especially during heatwave in August.
Room is smaller than expected, especially with our 3 bed-room option there was simply no space to walk. Park possibility is good, but was way too expensive.

The room was small but it was enough space. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The patio downstairs had good snacks and drinks and a nice vibe to play, work, write, and relax. The elevator
It would have been nice to have a small fridge AND an electric kettle for hot water. I personally did not need the TV, but the other two would have made staying 4 days more comfortable. Just a place for leftovers and snacks, as well as hot tea at night before bed.

Super small room has a new, chick look. Paid parking available.
The room is the size of a matchbox, The a/c barely worked, noone came to check after the issue was reported.
Parking on-site is 22 euros per night.

This hotel has such a fun vibe. Staff are great…lots of value added features like activities in the lobby, a large screen tv was showing the World Cup matches, etc.

Well located, fair size of the room, crib was available without problem, new facilities
Only down side was that our bed linen was smelly, like didn’t dry enough. Although part of the family on a different room didn’t experience that, so probably was a isolated problem

Absurdly tiny and overpriced room. Horrible access (no cross walk on busy drag strip street). Overpriced breakfast. Ugly location.

The room was clean and the hotel cool with its backpacking flair (a ping-pong table and bar on site). There was a patio and a hiking trail along the canal right next to it. The hotel isn't far from Gent's historic downtown.
I liked everything except for the small size of the rooms. But the size was not a surprise because it was stated in the room description on Booking.

The breakfast was well appointed and the hours of availability convenient for both early starts and leisurely ones.
The hotel staff seemed almost too busy. At one point I was waiting to purchase sparkling water at the bar and waited over 10 minutes only to find that there was a self service area near the check in desk.

Luggage room available
I understand its Ibis Budget, but this was just too bad. Small room, TV on the side wall !!, not clean room and not clean at the reception and breakfast area. Parking needed to be paid extra, even if you are a guest !
