I like everything about Astoria and return every year. I like the staff helpfulness and friendliness. The clean and comfy room and homely atmosphere. Also frozen meals, coffees available 24/7.

Friendly staff and the location was perfect for me. Loved the Rituals products in the bathroom.
The bathroom light worked with a sensor, which is great during the day, but a nuisance during the night, when half asleep one is confronted with a bright light when entering the bathroom. Also, the lighting solution for the bed is not conducive for reading.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff. Conveniently close to the station and with a luggage storage room.
There is nothing wrong with this hotel. It's not in the city center, but we knew that when we booked.

Compact hotel, room was small but cosy. The small gym and sauna was a welcome addition and the honour system bar/cafe was nice. Location is just 4-5 min from train station
It's a fair distance from the main part of Ghent - a nice walk if you're happy to do that. I was, but it will take a good 30 mins to reach the sights

Breakfast was great and definitely worth the money (you won't find anything better for less in town!). Staff were genuinely lovely and helpful! The room was clean but noisy - thin walls, the boiler room, and the train tracks meters away next door made it hard to sleep without ear plugs. We might consider staying there again but would probably pay for a better room.

Great bed, big bathroom and good shower. Helpful staff!
Bad coffee from the kitchen machine (from a portuguese point of view). The bathroom floor was all wet after every shower because it had no guard door.

Quiet road. Even if the hotel is just next to the railroad, the room is quiet (if the window is closed). Nice hotel, with good amenities.
I was not forewarned that housekeeping was being done only every 48h. I wouldn't have minded, except the shower overflows so the bathroom towel was soaked immediately. Fortunately, the hotel staff gave me a new one upon request. Upon arrival, the room was really cold and it only warmed up after several hours of the heating being on.
