Very Good
Location was great as close to all the sites you would want to see, everything walking distance, except the train station is quite a walk, approx 30 minutes or you can take a tram which is easy enough to figure out.
The hot options for breakfast weren't the best, but I am being picky.... Scrambled eggs were hard and bacon was drowning in oil

Check in was smooth and finding the hotel straightforward (we had stayed there before). Staff was helpful and even with a mix up with payment of the booking, it was handled well and efficiently. The AC worked very well (important with the high heat). Location is great and very close to eateries and just wandering around the beauty that is Gent.
Management was very attentive and professional!!
There was a lot of construction going on (that will be for some time I believe), so that was interesting-- but think the windows helped with insulating the noise.
We believed we had reserved a river view room (as we had done prior, with stone/brick and a straight out view. Instead we got a modern room very high up, small windows to look way down to the river and a view of the building apparently voted "most ugly" (as we were told by a river guide) in town from the side. Because I had hoped to get the room with character, it was really disappointing to realize we were not given what we thought we reserved.

The stuff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good, and there are many options. We had a family room which was huge. The bathroom has a separate shower and a bath which was nice.
I would add some lights to the room, but I guess it matches the old style of the rooms.

The room was so charming and fun- my family loved it! The charm made up for the lack of modern convenience.
The flush mechanism didn’t work after we pressed it- it didn’t return to original position. The hair dryer didn’t work and was very old. No convenient outlets for technology. The mattress on the main bed was not very comfortable- lopsided and thin.

Hotel is in an excellent location, close to tourist attractions and a few minutes walk from the Sluizeken T4 tram stop (useful to get around the city and to take you to or from Gent St Pieters station). Staff were very helpful, room was modern and well-equipped. Shower was good. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Would happily stay here again.

Great location. Nice size room and bathroom.
Nice selection at brekfast and cery tasty food
Property needs some TLC. Wobbling railing by the uneven stairs(the bottom stair was taller)up to our room. Room overall clean but half used sugar pouches were left on the tray.
Brekfast items were not promptly replenished causing lack od choices. Both cofee machines were broken 3out of 5 times.

The room was just lovely: great light shining through leaded glass windows, a comfortable seating area, the location was excellent. We felt as if we had stepped back in time with the timbered ceiling and exposed brick.

Breakfast was good, simple, but enough for us to choose from. I liked the large room, with 2 large beds, where my whole family could stay together in one room. There is a parking garage 5 min walk from the hotel. I had to pay a bit over 50 euro for storing the car there for 3 days. The garage unfortunately does not have many charging spots for electrical cars. The hotel itself is located perfectly, in the middle of the city center. Everything was on walkable distance.
There was a bad smell coming from our bathroom. The rooms were totally not cozy and totally different than on the pictures. And the rooms are totally not soundproof. There was a family staying a floor up and we could hear the kids running around. The 2nd night there was a party going on, many people making a lot of noise, whilst you would think that the staff from the hotel would say something about that noise.
