The location was super! In the very edge of the old district(6 minutes by foot to the Christmas market), in a very quiet area. The house itself is a historical house renovated, but while keeping a very nice charm. Annik and Kristof were very welcoming and ensured our stay was great. I especially liked the saloon at the 1st floor where you could relax and wind down after a busy day

The room was big. The ladies who run the place are very nice - although we only saw them a few minutes at the start of the stay.
Despite this being the most expensive hotel on our long trip, it was probably the worst stay. It's way way overpriced. At 6 am you will be awakened to people walking with loud shoes on a wooden floor, or someone playing a tv loud. It was really cold one night and we could not find any heater or thermostat, and there is no one there regularly - not just not there at night, they have no office or counter. This is just a house that they are running as a hotel. No WIFI in the room, so I had to sit on the steps outside. Nothing was particularly upscale or luxurious - other than putting the towels in a basket rather than on normal racks. The bed was not that comfortable. We had mosquitos biting us all night. There is not even a lobby. The location is horrible too - its a 15 minute long walk to a smaller non-central train station, so every day trip involved a long walk, then a train to the main station, then on ... and one night the trains were so late, that they just bypassed this stop entirely and went to the main station. The walk to the hotel at night felt a bit scary. Nor is this location good for the city - it's really confusing streets, no city map, and that particular area has a few local low end restaurants only. Once you learn your way around, it's only 12 minutes to the city center, but this 24 minutes every time you want get a sweater or umbrella. We were super unhappy with this place, and felt it was a huge mistake to go there. One taller lady checked us in, and showed us the code to get into the room, and she got annoyed at me the first time I tried the code for not touching it gentle enough - actually from using that code button many times, many of the keys don't respond to a single press, and you might have to press several times to get a single key to work - and I did not appreciate the irritable attitude.

Friendly host, cosy salon full of interesting books, great location close (but not too close) to the busy downtown of Ghent. very interesting old building that nevertheless felt comfortable and modernised.

This is Ghent! The look and feel of this B&B truly represents the atmosphere of beautiful Ghent. Rooms are spacious, cosy and stylish. This townhouse has a great location to explore the city. The owners are welcoming, super friendly, and helpful. The room was super clean and the toiletries from Fragonard are really nice. Can't wait to be back!

Enjoyed chatting with our hosts and other guests over the excellent breakfast. Plenty of information about places to visit available. Comfortable guest sitting room, self service tea and coffee always available. Quiet area, but near public transport. Ghent was a lovely place to spend a few days, and Ganda a good base.

I loved the homie feel about the property. The room was so lovely, clean. Extremely comfy bed! The little veranda was exceptional. Nice homemade breakfast! Try good location too!
Needs soundproofing. I had quite poor sleep because I could hear what was going on in other rooms. I know it’s the old building not much could be done about the noises but earplugs could be provided.
