Very Poor
Dont recommend for business travel in particular, the checkin is handled by an old lady who is only available some hours, and there is no conventional reception. They wanted me to pay in cash only instead of via booking.com and were annoyed when I wasnt available to meet at a particular time for this even though I communicated this wouldnt be possible. Get a conventional hotel instead

Ducale has a great location, Dina is friendly and helpful. There is good coffee always available which is a nice touch. Rooms are well furnished and ours contained a small fridge in the wardrobe that was very useful. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Gent.

It has a great location, the building is old and cute.
About the bedroom, the mattress was an unacceptable improvisation of poor quality inflatable mattresses; we had a terrible night of sleep.

For sure a great location. The room was clean, good size, nice bathroom.
We stayed at La Ducale at the end of July, at night we had some trouble sleeping, it was too warm and there were some mosquitos .. besides that we really liked it.

The location is brilliant and the owner of the property is very warm and convivial.
The access to the uppers storeys is by stairs (no elevator). That could be a problem for some travellers.

It was clean, nice staff and enough space for the both of us. Cute design of the room.
A lot of stairs, the WiFi didnt work and a lot of noise early in the morning because the road was being worked on. Ofcourse this was not the fault of the staff but she could have warned us.

The location was good.
Staircase is very loud (carpet might help?), no information about breakfast. More generally about its location, you are not warned it is in a low emission zone which for one night stay add 70 to the price if you are driving.
