Room was spacious
dated rooms and hallways, beds are okay but when booking a 'superior' room , one would expect higher quality and/or comfort. all very basic and not even close to the standards you'd find in more recent Van der Valk hotels.
Breakfast was an insult, asking EUR27.50 for poorly restocked (at 8 am no bread left) , grumpy staff wasn't helpful either. Very limited choice and no staff available to cook an omelette, so bad start of the morning overall.

I arrived at the hotel, and immediately, I encountered a major issue—the heating did not work. When I informed the staff, they admitted they were having problems with the system but could only offer me an extra blanket as a solution.
Despite trying to sleep, the room was freezing, making it impossible to rest. At midnight, I went to the reception to explain that the conditions were unbearable and that I could not stay there any longer. I decided to leave, and the hotel staff assured me that they would contact me regarding a refund.
However, after three days without any response, I called them myself. At that point, they told me they could not process the refund and that I needed to take it up with Booking.com. They also said they would inform Booking.com about the situation. Unfortunately, this turned out to be untrue, as Booking.com had no record of my complaint.
Now, one month later, I am still waiting for a response. The hotel and Booking.com are not taking me seriously and keep passing me around without offering a real solution.

Female receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive to me and my colleagues. Incorrectly booked me in after the self check-in terminal failed. Wrongly claimed that she had handed me all the keys to the hotel rooms. When my colleague tried to check in, had the gall to criticize us for not organizing correctly. Also gave incorrect directions to find different conference rooms in the building. Had a general demeanor of annoyance.

The food and bar were great!
Our mini refrigerator door was left open, so the fridge and it's contents were warm. There was a weird smell in the room, but you cannot open the windows for fresh air. There was a stain on our bed cover as well as on the floor, which was not very welcoming/appealing for the price we paid for such a room. You only receive one coffee pod for a room with 2 people in it.

If you register at 6pm and need to go out of their parking, you need to get your paid ticket re-approved at the reception when you get back (in my case at mid night). I waited my turn, the 2 receptionists did not even look up at me, I was just transparent, and finally had to ask if they could please just re-approve my ticket. On which the receptionist sharply told me I could say “please”, which I clearly politely had said. I’m in business too, if I need to have someone wait then I greet him and ask him for a moment of patience, I don’t just ignore him. Also, the night itself was a disaster, I had the impression they put all colleagues and family members in rooms next to mine, I was treated with laughs, talks and even music at 1.30am and while I exceptionally had the opportunity to wake up later, at 7.10 am I had the cart of room service making noise and shortly after, again music from another guest going out of his room. Bad night, heavy day to go through while I chose to be close to my office to be sharp.
