The location was very good and the view from the terrace suit was really nice. The hotel itself was ok, just not great.
I specifically asked for a double bed, not two singles. If they had told us sooner that there was no availability, I could have changed rooms or changed hotel. The hotel itself is ok. Only one slow lift. Paint and floors on the corridors not great. Same with our bathroom which clearly needed some upkeep.

The people in the reception desk was very kind and helpful, and eager to solve problems. Moreover, they offered a free upgrade, possibly related to my birthday happening during the stay.
The heating system was too high and not possible to regulate, so although it was useful for not feeling cold during autumn, it was a bit excessive (nothing difficult to solve by opening the window, though).

Location
Essential things are impossible in this place, including checking out the night before (if you have to leave very early in the morning) or getting an invoice directly after payment. The reception definitely was not busy at 4:00 am (when I was leaving) and there was only one other guest leaving and he experienced exactly the same issues as I did. Everyone seems very friendly but things do not happen at all or take very long. It was truly difficult to finally get an email with the invoice.

I stayed at a room with balcony, at 5th floor. The room itself was amazing, I absolutely loved it! Nice and clean, with a lot of space and a cozy balcony with great view. Pretty decent breakfast as well! The location was good too. Felt safer than some parts around the center of Brussels. There is a parking for bikes and scooters in front of the Hotel, which is is really convenient to move around the city. Overall, regarding the hotel, everything was good!

The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was approachable and helpful. The location is great, walking distance from main attractions, Ixelles' bars and restaurants, and Louise metro station.
The hotel is overdue a refresh. The room while clean, felt really worn. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked, the sofa and the carpet were stained, and the picture frames were chipped. The elevator would benefit from fresh paint and maintenance.
