Good location. Nice appearance downstairs, foyer, bar and dining-room. Friendly staff in bar, dining-room and breakfast room.
The bedrooms allocated to us were not what we paid or as advertised by Booking.Com. The rooms were falsely advertised by Booking.Com. In our opinion, the hotel is seriously over-priced. The bedrooms are in a poor state and in need of refurbishment, beds are dilapidated with sweaty, musty pillows. Carpets are stained. Housekeeping is poor. Rooms were dirty.

Versus the bathroom's awkward large-lever sink taps that do not transition water temp well, not least when overnight the whole building lost its hot water, a cardinal sin for a hotel of any rating. No vouchers. 'Living like a monk' thus returns to the abbey, ironically even for the pricey dining where I was not the only guest who had to ask for some accompanying lettuce that - with my order - is classically served with croquettes (for which the chef has won Awards). Great style versus some substance: you decide!

Fantastic breakfast, great sauna, OK gym. Breakfast is wonderful, huge variety, special eggs, etc. The sauna is wonderful. The gym is OK. Rooms are beautiful with comfy beds.

Wonderful
breakfast was dissapointing. There were no dairy free options.eg oat milk or vegan butter or spread & nobody approached me to order the cooked breakfast. I also have issues in low light having had cataract surgery & the lighting was difficult for me
