Location. Valet Parking. Breakfast offering. Friendly support staff.
Room not ready on arrival. Car and Concierge not ready on departure; despite calling ahead. This hotel is hitting the bare minimum for a 5 star establishment. For the price I expect front of house staff to go the extra mile with requests and voluntary offerings when things go wrong. This wasn’t forthcoming.

Room was a good size and well fitted out. The hotel was grand and coincerge staff were excellent. The location is very good for shopping and restaurants.
The reception staff were inefficient, When I went to checkout an hour before leaving my parking charge was stated as Euro 21 but by checking out my key would not work apparently, I have not experienced that in any other hotel, the key can still be operational. When I finally checked out the parking charge was Euro 51!! Oh sorry the other guy made a mistake. We went for drinks to the bar in the hotel, we kept waving to get attention, no one served us for 25 minutes. Finally our order was taken, the drinks took another 20 minutes to arrive. He started pouring the drinks and mid pouring stops as 4 people arrived and sat at the next table, everyone was busy serving them. I called the manager and told him off as we waited 45 minutes so were we not important. No explanation, but came back to say the drinks were complimentary. We then has dinner in the Hotel's Loui restaurant. My daughter ordered spaghetti bolognese, after an eating a bit she said this is tomato paste not bolognese. The waiter was so busy having a 20 minute conversation with another table (only one waiter in the restaurant). Finally when he arrived he took away the dish and served the correct one. No apology AND charged for the dish. Really the hotel's operations are not uptown the standard required. Disappointing.

Room was nice but not very clean. It was dated and there were stains on the carpet. There was also no smart TV and only 1 bottle of water provided.
Breakfast had practically no options (staff did not refill the yoghurt, fruit, hot food and juices in the hour we had been there). Price of hotel was very expensive for what was provided

Location was great. Near to shops, restaurants, trams and trains were all within reach. Hotel is an iconic building, beautiful building.
Rooms are quite dated, not the best layout for a very big room which looked too vast and empty. Toilet also very dated. All the rooms could use a refreshed modern look.

We had the wedding reception and dinner of our Son in the hotel, followed by sleeping in the hotel. The reception and dinner were well organized, the food delicious, the service impeccable. The room was beautiful, spotless. The breakfast delicious. High standard, well appreciated. Highly recommended.
