as I've already said, we liked the staff, the bar (and its Chant d'Eole), the room, the location in downtown Brussels, and the size and decoration of the room. And we'd already been there, yet still feels like it's a new experience each time.
Nothing comes to mind on the negative side. The Amigo is a great hotel, period. We recommend it for tourists or locals (as we are). Without reservations.

Location, the bar, the breakfast, the room, in no particular order. The location is amazing, right in the heart of Brussels, a short walk from the Grand Place, the Museum of BD, or the Manneken Pis. The Bar was great: we had Chant d'Eole, the world's best champagne (and a Belgian one). The breakfast was perfect. The Staff was great, as always (not our first time) - from the room lady to the concierge, or the waiters. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, great.
Nothing clearly comes to mind. Finding our way to our room did require a little geometry, but it was worth the effort (I'm not good at geometry, but my wife always finds the way). Other than that, there is really nothing on my did-not-like list.

I visited Brussels from 2-5 September 2025 and wanted to stay in a hotel that was (a) in or very close to the Grand Place, (b) easy to navigate from to all the other must-see sights, shopping areas and eating places, and (c) well known for its ambience and good service. After some research, I opted for the Amigo Hotel and I couldn’t have made a better choice.
The location was perfect—just a lane away from the Grand Place. The room (including the attached bathroom) was spacious and comfortable, and the overall ambience carried a grand yet old-school charm. The staff were unfailingly hospitable, and their service was impeccable.
Yes, the price is higher than many other hotels in Brussels, but it is luxury hotel and it was worth every cent for the comfort, convenience, and memorable experience. If I return to Brussels, I will definitely stay at Hotel Amigo again.
