Good
The Hygge is in a relatively quiet part of Brussels, and about a 25 min walk from Brussels Midi station. We liked the quirky independant nature of the hotel, and the staff were super helpful. We arrived early in the morning, but they were happy to look after our luggage until the 3 o'clock check-in, so we could do some exploring.
The hotel had been converted from either an office or residential property, and sadly the interior designers/architect didn’t do a great job. The room layout had several minor flaws which sort of stacked up and became annoying after a few days. For instance the room keycard scanner was on the opposite wall side of the door, the hinge side, not as you walk-in. The switch to turn the bathroom light on was again on the hinged side of the door. So you were constantly opening and closing doors. The bathroom had nowhere to put your wash bags or hang anything, just a sink. The same for shower, although really good, there was nowhere to place your shampoo or soap. They do provide their own dispenser, but as my wife suffers from eczema, she has to use a particular type.
At risk of going full Victor Meldrew, the toilet roll holders, there were two, were both vertical. I can understand the one to store a spare roll, but why have them both vertical…maybe it’s a Belgian thing! Made it tricky pulling out a strip to do ones thing. My wife also pointed out there was no full length mirror, just the one above the bathroom sink. Personally that didn't effect me, as my preening days are well and truely over. The other thing, again this may be a Belgian thing, but the towels were very thin, more like a dish cloth.
Also, I’m always amazed why hotels charge so much for a basic breakfast. Especially when there was a brilliant cafe literally 20 metres from the front door, offering the same thing for half the price??
So overall, a clean, well run hotel which made it an enjoyable break, with a few niggles but nothing too painful. The other slight thing was the conversion looked like it was done on the cheap, giving it a hostel feel to it, rather than a £140 a night hotel.

The hotel was very nice and well decorated. The location was close enough to the the main streets, with several restaurants and shops. You can walk to the city center.
The bathroom had a glass door without any proper lock!
The breakfast could have more options.

Very stylish hotel in a city center. The breakfast was super tasty, stuff friendly. Everything was clean and tidy, only nice emotions are present!
It could be nice to have robes and slippers in the room. Also the room really needs little fridge

Wonderful
The entrance, breakfast area and lobby are beautifully designed. The rooms are nice and clean with enough space for guests to sit and relax. We had a balcony and room for luggage and extra space with 3 adults.
Can be in a shady neighborhood.

Great location, helpful night desk clerk, well appointed room
Uncomfortable bed with scratchy linens. VERY thin walls, you can hear literally every sound a neighbor makes - but my white noise app blocked that out so it wasn’t much of an issue.

Staff are wonderful. Friendly and really helpful. Relaxed vibe.
It would be good to have air conditioning for those very hot summer days.

The room itself was nice. The location was good with nearby bread shops and clothes shops. The staff were okay and were sort of helpful. Overall recommend to stay at this hotel.
There wasn't a fridge to store drinks and there was no bathtub. Though we didn't have the breakfast it was very pricey and same price for adults and children.

Comfortable bed and good location
Breakfast was disappointing- milk was horrible so couldn’t have decent cup of tea. No fruit salad on second day.

Good
It is a pretty basic hotel, nothing special, the location is ok, it feels like they act a bit too pretentious for what they offer, but there wasn't any particular problem, it was clean.
The absence of the minifridge.

Pleasant
Big room with a terrace
A poorly constructed shower that leaked into the bathroom floor. The bathroom and then room that just smelled of drains. The room was for three, but there were only two chairs on the terrace, and two teacups in the room. We had both a sheet and a towel with a hole in.
