The staff were really nice and let us store our bags there, the rooms were huge and comfortable
The neighborhood is near Brussel-Noord which is apparently sketchy? We didn't have any problems but the lady at the reception was very adamant we stay away from the station at night

There was honestly very little I liked about my stay. The overall experience was extremely disappointing from check-in until I finally got a room.
My stay at a&o Brussels Centrum was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. At check-in, reception told me I still had to pay more even though I had already paid the full amount. I showed proof of payment, but I was still made to wait for around an hour and could not check in until after 4 PM.
Unfortunately, things got even worse after check-in. The first room and bed I was given were not clean. I reported it and was moved to another room, but that room was also poorly cleaned, with hair all over the bed and sheets. I was then moved again, and the next room was also unacceptable. The sheets were dirty and covered with hair, the table was dusty, and I could see what appeared to be bedbugs. After all of that, I was assigned yet another room, where the bathroom lock was broken.
Having to change rooms multiple times because of basic cleanliness and maintenance problems is completely unacceptable. After paying for accommodation, guests should at least be able to expect clean bedding, a properly cleaned room, and functioning facilities.
This was easily the worst hostel experience I have ever had. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here. It simply was not worth the money, inconvenience, or stress.

The shower was rusty and the water got all over the bathroom floor. I had to clean it after the shower.
The mattress was hard for me. The shower could have a longer glass or a door. The water got out everywhere.

As always, this hostel chain paid off. I booked a private room and it was perfect. The bed and linens were very comfy. The bar was welcoming and reasonably priced. I travel by bike and the locked storage was awesome.

Nothing, it was all good. Only there should be food served (lunch or dinner) but the resteraunts are literally one minute walk.

Offers room to store bikes
Great staff but bad management. Felt bad for the girl who worked the counter alone, overwhelmed with customers. She contacted the manager 3 times for us (called twice, wrote once) to help open the door where our bikes were (she tried but didn‘t have the key to open) - it was a time sensitive situation because we needed to catch the train. The manager said they would come in 5 min. We waited 20 minutes before asking her to call the manager again. Again, we waited a long time for the manager, who again said he/she would be at the hostel in 5 minutes.
Felt bad for the poor girl, she was communicative and nice. But the manager could not give us a realistic timeframe and we had false expectations because of this.
In the end, the girl helped us open the door because the manager told her which key, which could have been the solution to begin with.
All in all, great staff but bad bad bad management communication.

That it has a bath. After hours of walking, my feet were with harm and taking a bath after a long day was the best. And also the bartender was really nice.

Unfortunately, the experience was the exact opposite. We were assigned dirty rooms that had only just finished being renovated. My room was covered in dust, and although I requested housekeeping for four consecutive days, it was never cleaned.
Several members of our group were assigned rooms that had already been given to other guests, and vice versa. When they entered their rooms, they discovered that someone else was already occupying them or had clearly been staying there. Other rooms had dirty bathrooms, and some had no air conditioning. Overall, it was a terrible experience and far below the standard we expected. Plus, the team at the front desk were pointless and useless when it came to solutions.

Reception checked us in early (although we found the room wasn't cleaned, so we left the bags and left for a while till it was cleaned)
Room is super spacious with large windows, I liked the open view.
Location is very good, it is near the train and metro station. Also, the center is walkable
There was a garden near the hotel, which was good time for my toddler
Room needs deep cleaning (under the bed was full of dust)
There is no kettle to make your own tea
Pillows were so small and not comfortable
Be careful, rooms in first floor has no AC and smaller
