Lovely lobby, great staff who were very helpful.
Walking at night to the hotel was rather worrisome because there were no streetlights and it was very dark. Also I would suggest they install handrails at the entrance where the stairs are. When raining it can be very slippery.

Friendly staff, large room, well decorated, double glazed window which were very effective shutting out road noise.
Minor things. Towels were fine but not sumptuous which was strange as the hotel is sumptuous. Air conditioning was centrally controlled - would have preferred to be able to control it ourselves. Mini fridge was in a cupboard with no ventilation and a lot of heat seemed to be coming off it.

It was close to the train station, 15’ walking, and 15’ to the main attractions.
Ben, the guy at the front desk, was very nice and helpful.

The deep bath with a shower and no grab handles is dangerous for a senior with limited mobility.

Disappointing
Central location, close to the train station. Friendly staff.
No hot water (coldish lukewarm), shower pipe leaking and splashing water everywhere… Flock of mosquitoes in the room… I just stayed for 1 night and arrived late/left early. Would have switched rooms (or property) if my stay was longer.

The location was very convenient, close to two metro stations (10 minutes' walk at most).
The staff were really nice and caring, so whatever people say about French people being gloomy was nowhere to be seen :D
Breakfast was good. One perk that exceeded our expectations was the free snack time from 2pm until late at night. By snacks I mean coffee, juice, sweets, baked goods and fruit, so it was really lovely. Apparently we could also help ourselves to snacks at any other Astotel hotel in the city just by showing our room card.
The room was a bit small, but I guess that's to be expected in Paris.

Pleasant
Good location walking distance to attractions. Room was clean and spacious.
Reception staff were distracted and a bit rude. The hand held shower did not reach the bracket so you had to hold it to shower. There was no bracket for the toilet paper and no hairdryer. If not for these would have been a great room.

We enjoyed walking from the hotel into the old parts of Brussels.
The staff responded quickly to our request for the air conditioning to be on as our bedroom temperature was showing 35C.
The radiator in the bathroom also had to be turned off.
Very friendly helpful reception staff.
It would have been nice to have more than 2 pots of milk and 2 coffees as meant we could only have one cup in the morning or afternoon.
There was no information about the spa facilities.

Wonderful
Welcoming friendly hotel staff and a very comfortable room, perfect for exploring the old city. A very good breakfast and exceedingly comfortable bed was what we needed after a problematic train journey from Innsbruck. They were happy to look after our bags whilst we explored the next morning before catching our Eurostar home
Nothing to do with the hotel but Brussels could do with sorting out the longstanding roadworks in the street from the station

The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Brussels Midi station, and 5 minutes walk from the centre of the town. Friendly, helpful staff, and very clean rooms.
