Disappointing
It was in the city centre, but there are too many options there are you better off choosing something else?
I wish I had known before booking that this was not really a proper hotel, but just a set of rooms above a restaurant. We have never stayed anywhere like this before, and sadly the experience was very poor. The carpets were grubby and old, which immediately gave the place an unclean feel. The bathroom was not properly cleaned either — with hair left on the floor — unacceptable for the price charged. The corridors were also unpleasant; the motion sensor took a long time to switch the lights on, so we were usually left walking with kids in the dark in the evening. Noise from the restaurant below was constant, making it hard to relax. Reception was rarely attended, and when we tried calling multiple times at night, nobody ever picked up. On top of that, when I asked for a little milk for my baby in the evening, I was told they had none at all — despite being next to a restaurant. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay with two kids and I would strongly recommend avoiding it. Definitely not worth the money.

They put us in an apartment building across from the hotel which wasn’t as nice as the hotel it self. Didn’t feel like I got what I paid for.

The room was decorated very nicely. A large airy room with lovely unique designs - bold floral wallpaper on a nice dark backdrop. The restaurant/bar and general aesthetic was also enjoyable. Most of all, the very central location made exploring the central zone easy.
Our room was located at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road (Rue du Marché aux Poulets) - outside there are a number of bars including Celtics, advertised outside as having Karaoke until 2am and a DJ until 5am. The noise from these bars was very loud. The receptionist told us that the sound would stop by 11pm, but that we could not change rooms. Sadly the three of us struggled to sleep, with the sound from the neighbouring bars continuing late into the night - the sound was still loud at 3 am. Whilst the hotel provide earplugs, these are insufficient to counter the noise. Whilst this is a beautiful hotel, it is not advised for sensitive sleepers. At a minimum, I would suggest requesting a rear room away from the main road.

Staying at Craves was wonderful. The location is super central, i loved the design of the room, lobby and bar. They were really accommodating when it came to special requests and the cocktails were devine

Location was excellent, practically next to everything. The decoration of the hotel is exceptional, lobby, restaurant and rooms with great details of an old-classy hotel. Breakfast was very good and served until 11am. Aircondition unit in the room was really efective even in silent mode.
All personnel was very polite, yet it would be even better if they all spoke some English. Every morning we had to ask our cleaning lady not to awake us at 8.30 by knocking and opening the door. Minor issues such as lack of shampoo were always treated with politeness and speed.
