The hotel staff were very friendly and the common areas (reception, bar/restaurant and breakfast area) were all modern, well kept and inviting. The breakfast was good and plentiful and the location is excellent for both the station and the centre of the city. Getting around and to and from the airport was extremely easy and there were plenty of good restaurants within easy reach.
The rooms are very dated and pretty beat-up. There were marks all over the walls, broken tiles in the bathroom, and dirty old covers on the sofa/sofa bed in the room. It was a very dark room and a particular safety feature should probably addressed - I was on the 5th floor and I could open my window all the way, without any safety. With kids, this would make me very uncomfortable since it was a very long drop to the street below and there were no obvious latches that could be put on to avoid this. The doors also really slam, so every time someone opened or closed their door, you could really hear it. It was busy in the hotel while I stayed, so the prices were very high. Any company that employs dynamic pricing to squeeze customers through blatant profiteering deserves a poor rating, regardless of the quality of the hotel. On my third night, the distinctly average room that I stayed in cost me more than double the night before. For the privilege of sleeping in the same bed, in the same room. If you can get a good deal on the room price, it's probably worth staying, but since there is an NH Hotel and an Ibis right next door, it's worth checking all 3. Otherwise, stay at the Hilton behind it. It's much nicer and you at least get what you pay for.

Very wrong to advertise that it has a fitness centre! It had a running machine, a bike and cross trainer! No weights/dumb bells or weight machines. Very misleading to say it had a fitness centre
