It seemed very old, and they clearly they were doing renovation but it didn’t reach the room we stayed in.
You need to go to a back elevator to reach our floor, there were a couple of steps to reach it and we had 4 bags with us.

The cupboards and washroom doors are really old please change them. The bar behind the alley is too loud, install soundproofing window as it cannot make you sleep.

The location was especially good. Just outside of the really busy areas but still a few minutes walk away.
Old world charm (that's a genuine comment, not a euphemism for old), especially the size of the room compared to other European Hotels.
The only negative was that the hotel could not accommodate a late check out on the day I was leaving. But that is probably more due to the popularity of the hotel than the staff not being helpful. They indicated they were fully booked on the night I was leaving.

Room - spacious, extra amenities to my last stay in August 2025. Very clean & hypoallergenic bedding. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the room. Didn't get to enjoy the breakfast, but I remember the buffet from my last stay and I'm sorry I missed it this time. The reception staff was as pleasant welcoming, and helpful as I remember. And they are multilingual.
Location- a few minutes walk from Brussels-Nord station [direct train from Brussels Airport (BRU/ Zaventum)], a variety of restaurants for all budgets and tastes, historical areas, boutiques, pharmacies and a shopping mall make it a convenient and quiet place to stay, as it's not on the main boulevard.
Room service was open late, but only one gluten free option for dinner. But at that hour was happy for hot food and convenience.
Just as an FYI - in November 2025 they are repairing an elevator between floors 2 & 3, but there are 2 other elevators available.

The location, cleanliness and staff.
They were working on the elevator, so to access the 4th floor where I was, I had to take the elevator to the third floor and walk up the rest of the way. It’s not an easy task when you’re carrying your bags. It was a minor inconvenience. Other than that the hotel was wonderful.

It was a nightclub across the street from that property. they make so much noise nighttime is unsafe. they sell drugs around the corner hotel get locked after 10 to keep the guests safe

Perfect location for shops, hopping the subway, hotel could get us a taxi quickly. Front desk staff were amazing, with maps, advise, changing money, etc

-One of the lamps in the room did not function, the safe stopped working after the first day, the closet doors were sagged and it was hard to open and close

The location is okey I guess … thats about it.
Extremely disappointing experience – definitely not 5-star quality.
We booked this hotel expecting a premium 5-star stay, but unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations and honestly shocking.
• The hotel overall feels very old and poorly maintained.
• Our room had visible dust on the shelves and surfaces.
• The bathroom was outdated, and the toilet was leaking water.
• The wardrobes/cabinets were extremely old and had a disgusting, moldy/damp smell inside. It was so unhygienic that I couldn’t even hang my clothes in them.
• The general cleanliness was unacceptable – even worse than some 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in before.
• Even the lobby had a very unpleasant smell, which gave a terrible first impression.
For a hotel that claims to be 5 stars, the hygiene, maintenance, and overall atmosphere were shockingly poor. This stay definitely did not match the rating or the price.
I would not recommend this hotel unless it undergoes a full renovation and seriously improves its cleanliness and standards

The Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Before arriving, my original booking was only for 4 days in a Deluxe room. Due to some change of plans, I extended my stay for another 2 days and they upgraded me to a Prestige room for the whole duration of my stay. I thought that was awesome!! I love the hotel’s ambience and character. I love the breakfast buffet too. I would love to come back and Hotel Le Plaza will be my go to Hotel.

The room was nice. The location was very good, as we were right next to the beginning of the outdoor mall street. For food there was a Quick just one block away, where we could get a vegan burger.
We did not pre-purchase the breakfast, so they told us it would cost around $40 per person for breakfast, whereas booking.com would have charged us the same for both of us. Eating elsewhere saved us a ton, so we didn't care for this aspect of the hotel.
