Disappointing
Compared to y previous visit and stay in the main building, this time I stayed in a room I had to cross an inner courtyard for to get to. A steep decline in quality was experienced:
- stained sheets
- mold in bathroom and lacking ventilation
- noisy bathroom lamp
- worn down bed
- you could hear and feel every step of the person staying above
Staff did not inquire about the quality of my stay.
In short, a disappointment given the higher price point

Very Good
Beautiful reception, lounge and breakfast area. Beds very comfortable. Immaculate bedroom and bathroom. Lots of space. Great location for Bruxelles Centraal and Grand Place.
Although very well placed for Bruxelles Centraal station (100m stroll) and it's a beautiful building - the area surrounding this oasis feels a bit scuzzy.

Well located and historic feel to establishment.
The staff at reception were not pleasant and borderline rude. When we arrived we found out there was 15 steps to go up to our room and no one to help us with our luggage. We asked to be changed rooms and that seemed to annoy them. We explained we were not aware and they said that’s what happens when you book through a third party like Booking!!

Bathroom floor tiles are not anti slip and caused me to graze my arm tying to grab into the sink when I slipped
