Location. Some rooms.
Standard room was worse than a motel 6. Mold everywhere, warped floors. Loud and big lights shining outside window all night. Deluxe room very nice however.

Impressive building with an atmosphere. Nicely designed rooms and interior of the hotel.
Breakfast was not impressive, but there are plenty of catering options just two steps out of the hotel.

We have stayed at the Dixseptieme several times and have always enjoyed it. It is a lovely hotel, convenient to the train station and Brussels's beautiful main square. The staff was extremely helpful, the room immaculate and comfortable.
There were some rowdy people on the street most of the night, but this was not the fault of the hotel.

We loved Hotel Dixseptieme! Centrally located, it offers a quiet, upscale retreat from the lively center of Brussels. Excellent room, helpful staff and several nicely furnished, quiet public areas for reading, email, discussion, etc. Maybe 150 yards from the Central train station and just as close to the countless dining and shopping options in and around Palace Square. Best stay ever in Brussels.

Great location - 5 minutes to the train station and 10 minutes to the Grand Place Square - shopping right around the corner too ! Bed was very comfy, and bathroom was beautiful with rain shower head and heated floors ! Female Receptionist on our second day was so helpful -asked if we needed any special transportation help since it was Easter Sunday.

This accommodation was excellent. The room was huge and the amenities were top notch. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was lovely in a beautiful room. The Easter eggs at breakfast were another lovely touch as were the bedroom robes and slippers.

Breakfast was not up to the standard we are used to for a hotel costing this much. The choice available was limited and unless you arrived at the start of breakfast, you often had to wait for dishes to be replenished.
The hotel advertises that it has lifts, however, depending on the room type you selected, you had to climb stairs to get there and then again between the bedroom and bathroom. We ending up taking a lesser room than we had booked to avoid having to climb stairs. We understand that many hotels in Europe are in older buildings, but many we have stayed at have found solutions to make them more accessible.
