Wonderful
Well proportioned room with a working desk and a two-armchair area. Excellent good-sized bathroom with tub, shelf for your toiletries, and big soft towels. Remarkably quiet - you do not hear the guests in the other rooms at all.
Room lighting could have been better (ceiling lights very weak). Breakfast is prohibitively expensive at EUR 37. Location not the best for public transport (changes needed to go to city center, airport).

Very pricey for how outdated the rooms are. Also the gym is very poor and the food options are very limited and not healthy alternatives

The staff at the desk was nice.
The room was hot, the AC barely worked. Room was old, dated and in need of major update. The toilet room had wallpaper peeling and was so old, did not feel clean, was on other side of room from shower and sink, most bizarre set up I have ever seen. How they charge what they do for this room was beyond unreal. The bed was not comfortable and the carpeting was old and dirty.

The location and the responsive and respectful staff
The electric system in the room was confusing and unreliable. The shower was difficult to manage with such a narrow entrance. Everything gets wet before you can get in and close door.

I wish that I had known at the time of booking that the hotel bar, dining room, and courtyard were under construction.

The air conditioning did not work well and never cooled the room sufficiently. It could not cool below 21 degrees Celsius, which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions.
The shower is tiny and outdated.

Beautiful hotel and staff were so friendly and accommodating throughout our whole stay. Going out of their way to help us. Even noticing it was my birthday. You won’t get service like that at non family-owned hotels. Breakfast was lovely with lots of varied choices. Location was great for transport into the city and main attractions. Terrace bar was an added bonus at the end of our evening. Really impressed with the rooms design, cleanliness, size, comfort and amenities. L’occitane toiletries and a robe and slippers were a nice added touch of luxury. Would 100% return and recommend to others.
The only improvement was that I asked for no feather pillows in my room due to an allergy and this was forgotten but rectified immediately once I raised it.

Wonderful
We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Chatelain. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our room was well appointed. Love the extra counter space in the bathroom.
Only negatives were how crazy expensive the breakfast is!! 37€ is way too much for what they had on the buffet. Very disappointing.
